Mary J. Blige in Concert
Mary J. Blige has amassed an impressive eight multi-platinum albums, nine Grammy Awards, 32 Grammy nominations, a 2012 Golden Globe nomination and five American Music Awards.
Influenced at an early age by the music of Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and Gladys Knight, Blige brought her own gritty, urban-rooted style - fusing hip-hop, soul and honest, frank lyrics - to the forefront on her 1992 debut album What’s the 411? The successful debut featured hits such as ‘You Remind Me’ and ‘Real Love’ and went to number #1 on the Billboard R&B/ Hip Hop Album Chart.
"Ms. Blige has established a hard-shell model of big personality female R&B: the sort of music, halfway between hip-hop and gospel that represents real talk and reasonable fantasy; deals with issues of trust, love and dependency; and accommodates midnight fears and self-congratulation.” - NEW YORK TIMES
“Mary J. Blige is best known for being one of the living, breathing queens of R&B, pop, and soul whose mere presence on our planet remains a constant blessing.” - SPIN

Great seats, 2nd row, great concert…line was easy to get into stadium…excellent experience! Only feedback is if your on floor seats 2nd row… should have drink service or at least a floor level bar/bathroom after paying $ like that.
Show started late thank God. Because the experience to get into the Barclay Center was horrible. A gentleman working the doors went and got his family/friends and brought them to the top of the lime on the side for them to push and come in. When persons in the line to get into the doors saw that they started to push. It was horrible and could have caused persons to be trampled on. Luckily nothing bad happened. Other than that the concession options the lines were ridiculous and moved really slowly. The show itself, the lineup and performances were all amazing and flowed very well. DJ Funk Flex made the hype and vive in-between the sets AMAZING and the crowd definitely wanted more of him
Tickets was easy to get to on Ticketmaster and SOAW AND THE BARCLAY WAS THE BEST
Starting acts were terrible, DJ played 2-3 tracks before stopping. There was no atmosphere. The worst thing was that even though the concert started at 8pm, by 11.45pm there was no sign of Mary j Blige. I had to leave then to relieve the babysitter. Never have I been to a concert where people are smoking and the concert itself was so amateur!
Zero stars. Concert started 2 hours late. Had to sit through mini commercials before dj came out. Just when the dj started to warm up he gets a tap on the shoulder to stop. Ended up leaving a little after midnight mid
The line up was great 50 had the best set. But overall the sound quality was horrible. Not sure if artists do sound checks anymore
Mary always delivers on her shows! All of the artists were fun to watch and sing along with.
2hour lates start and less than 30 minute performance for Mary and Jill. 50 cent wasn’t the headliner but he outperformed
Had a great time everyone did good and the people that 50 Cent brought out his crew Jadakiss brought out his crew. It was everything it was epic and Mary J. Blige. Of course you know she did her big one.
