by gallinachina on 5/20/24Los Angeles County Fair - PomonaWe went to see Ohio players MANHATTANS Lakeside JJ walker. To be 100 % honest the MANHATTANS still sound the exact same as when we used to listen to the cds and radio. The Ohio players didn't. They need to practice more to get it right. Sorry I love the Ohio players but that's the true truth.

by Disappointed on 5/20/24Los Angeles County Fair - PomonaThis should have been called the Lakeside and Manhattans concert. (More like the Manhattans concert as they played the longest) They were on longer than the Ohio Players. Ohio Players sang 4 songs and said good night so abruptly everyone was like… “What?” If they were too old to play more songs they shouldn’t have been the headliners. I was out there freezing for no reason at all.

Good to see Jimmy 'JJ' Walker, although he was a bit over the top with his comedy in between the sets. My only criticism has to do with the Fair's lack of organization. Those who had stage level seats had to wait in line a LONG time while they secured the correct color wristbands. Paying so much money to be inconvenienced in this manner makes little sense. We had ticket info on our phone. Why do we have to show wristbands. They need to improve their system.
