Jeffrey still sounds amazing after all this time. Stephanie's voice seemed to be overpowered by the music the first half of her show, but blew it out the water the second half
My first time seeing her. She was truly amazing and she knew how to work that stage Her background singers … OMG they were fantastic
My daughter gifted me with tickets to the Stephanie Mills and Jeffrey Osborn show on May 12th at the MGM National Habor in Oxon Mill, MD. The show was fantastic! Jeffrey Osborn opened by entering on the floor and walking through the sections while singing one of his many hits. The crowd went wild! It was fun and he serenaded the audience throughout his performance. Stephanie Mills was spectacular! Her voice was still as strong and vibrant as I remembered over the years. She ended with my favorite, "Home". We had a wonderful and unforgettable time.
This was an awesome Mother's Day gift to myself. I was invited out by another friend and boy did we have a good time. We had decent seats - section 304 Row B and could see a lot. Since the people in front were the first row in the balcony no one had to stand up in front of us. Jeffrey at 76 still has the same voice when he was younger - strong and full. It was so good, a lot of us couldn't believe he wasn't lip-syncing. (He wasn't). He came in and walked through the crowd and got the party started on time. He had us grooving his whole set. And he came back out and walked around the entire floor during a song mid-set. What a showman - still, and the energy!!! Then comes the set change and Miss Stephanie prepares to blow our minds. Her energy was different, definitely slower-paced than Jeffrey's, but she told a story through her music and her small chats between songs. Her voice is like silk and effortlessly touched everyone of us. MGM Theater stage is huge and could easily swallow up an entertainer of her size, but she moved from end to end and kept us following to see where she'd head next. Loved all the music and these two are singers who actually sing all their songs instead of having the audience sing. I pay to hear the performers - not us, and they did not disappoint. My only issues were the strobe lights they kept pointing back at the audience during Jeffrey's set and the long change break Stephanie took to switch outfits. Her backup singers were on a little too long performing and it became a little tiresome. If she can tweak that part, I'd give this show 5 stars. The venue is nice and there are tons of restaurants and quick serve places before and after the show. There's also the casino and there are several bars in the theater if you're thirsty. The theater is beautifully decorated and the balcony seats and those on the risers are very comfortable and roomy. Again Steph and Jeff were amazing. But I wasn't surprised!
This was the first time have seen her in many years. She was so cute and she sang with grace. just entertaining everything. The old school vibe was wonderful. I would see her again. So good to see her.. Much blessings
Amazing, Excellent, Entertaining, Awesome! I don't know what is left to say! The singing of Everyone was quite enjoyable and sound incredible!!!!
I loved the show. Stephanie Mills and Jeffrey Osborne were fantastic. Their songs took me way back. I have great memories with their music. This is the kind of show I miss going too. If they came back to Maryland, I would go see them again.
As much as I love Stephanie, Jeffrey Osborne needs to come back with his own show.
Loved this show. Stephanie is quite the entertainer! My son and I enjoyed this Mother's Day show, and we also enjoyed listening to her sons sing oldies. I would recommend seeing Stephanie Mills if you are in the nostalgic mood!
