    Awesome

by Puddintain on 5/10/24Neptune Theatre - Seattle

Awesome! So much fun! English Beat and Adam Ant were both great. The venue was perfect... We all brought our adult kids and danced like fools. My only complaint was that the sound could have been sharper. It was hard to hear the singing/words.

    Poor Sound, bad experience

by Disappointed on 5/9/24Paramount Theatre - Denver

English Beat was great! HOWEVER- Adam Ant was hard to hear, muddled, muddy sound, couldn’t hear vocals, his sound people were horrible, I drove hours for one of the worst sounding events ever. Do not recommend.

    Fantastic performance

    by Antfan62 on 5/9/24Paramount Theatre - Denver

What a great experience! Adam Ant is a awesome performer and sounds very much like he did on his albums. The venue was centrally located and there is not a bad seat in the auditorium.

    Love Ant music!

    by SusieQ97 on 5/9/24Paramount Theatre - Denver

Fantastic concert. Both the Beat and Adana Ant rocked the theater. Lots of energy and played all of their hits! It was like being back in college 🙌

    AMAZING concert!!!

by Stefani on 5/9/24Paramount Theatre - Denver

The concert was amazing at the Paramount. However, I will never use Ticketmaster again. Their service charges are insanely, and unreasonably expensive. I felt like I paid for 2 tickets instead of 1. I will forgo seeing someo

Fab Night With Adam & The Beat

by Brum Babe on 5/9/24Paramount Theatre - Denver

Flashback to the 80’s at The Paramount with 2 of the original greatest English acts. Dave Wakeling and his US touring English Beat (mostly members of General Public) brought down the house with the opening set, setting the upbeat mood even higher! They played hit after hit all in great form and kept the audience on their feet, singing and dancing along. By the time Adam Ant hit the stage the venue was buzzing. He did not disappoint. Starting with the Tour’s eponymous name, The band roared into Ant Music and off we went! Adam’s voice sounds fantastic and he’s still a showman. Posing, vocal inflection and showcasing the talents of his band. The tribal rhythms are spot on, the band was tight and he plays a selection of tunes from his entire discography so if you’re a longtime fan you’ll hear the classics as well as more recent material. He still sounds fresh and looks great. Hard to believe I’ve been listening to him and The Beat for over 40 years and the music still sounds this amazing and fresh all these years later. Worth every penny and our seats were 10th row orchestra. If I had one criticism it would have nothing to do with the bands, but with other patrons. Please for the love of god, stop filming entire concerts and enjoy the show and live in the moment. For what our tickets cost we mainly watched peoples arms above their heads filming and as a short person that’s annoying. It’s hard enough to see with tall folks standing in front of you as it is (but comes with the territory) but raised arms for an entire show is a bigger obstruction like a pillar in front of you. Concert tickets aren’t cheap. Think of all the folks behind you not lucky enough to have your view. Enjoy your concert in real time. Take a photo if you must but stop with the entire concert footage. The venues should really police this. Other than this, no complaints and we’d love to see this double bill again. We generally see the English Beat whenever they are in Denver - usually 2x a year. Adam Ant was a great bonus line up.

Sounded good even if a bit stiff

by SatansMilkman on 5/9/24Paramount Theatre - Denver

First time at the Paramount, really cool theater holding on to its bygone era decor. The English Beat opened up and they sounded great and were full of energy. A good start. Adam Ant's show had his traditional double drum kit and several guitar players (3 if you include Adam himself). He sounded really good and the show itself was pretty energetic however, I felt like Adam was showing his age a bit and was kinda stiff in his movement about the stage. We enjoyed the show and were taken back in time as both bands played all their biggest numbers. Glad we got to catch these guys while still able to perform, especially at altitude.

    Good but not great

by Gooser on 5/9/24Paramount Theatre - Denver

First off, seeing folks in their 50's and 60's jamming on stage and in the audience is a great site. The English Beat opened up and their songs were fun and I knew most of them. The biggest problem was the sound mixing and the volume. The mixing was muttled and the volume was so low I could easily hear the person next to me singing. Had those things been fixed, EB would have been stellar. Adam Ant to his credit, jammed through 20 songs. Interestingly there were no keyboards only guitars which lent the whole set more a harder edge than the 80's originals. That's not to say it was bad, it was just different. I actually liked it and the sound mix was much better. Why wasn't it great then? Well, Mr. Ant's voice could veer off into a different direction several times and while he valiantly tried to hit the high notes, he wasn't always successful. He also looked like he was very stiff and appeared to want to dance but could only manage the occasional heel twirl. These are minor nitpicks and overall, it was a great night and good show!

Adam Ant killed it in Denver

by Alphasonn on 5/9/24Paramount Theatre - Denver

Excellent night in Denver seeing Adam Ant and The English Beat, they both tore the house down, but Adam Ant in particular looked as good as ever with a pulsating drum beat that seem to permeate the whole concert, crisp vocals and sharp guitars and keys. Catch him while he is touring!
