It was a good time, hearing all the fave’s of April Wine, the biggest thing for me was the sound…..noticed it at beginning and yeah it got worse!! Very disappointed in that, we actually moved to far room!! The guys were great, especially shout out to drummer, who performed a wicked drum solo where he killed it, using bare hands…..made me think of Bonzo’s Moby Dick…. Thank you April Wine Sound needs to be addressed Still a good time!!
We were in what we thought was the nosebleeds and were just going to hear the band, but actually there is not a single bad seat in the house. Would recommend this venue to everyone; personal and exceptional.
Awesome concert!!! Loved it. Only thing is the seats are not made for someone with long legs or knee problems!
Completely entertaining and totally worth seeing LIVE! They still got it…and new lead Marc delivers great vocals.
April wine concert was great sold out event I always liked seeing April wine
Glad to have finally got to see them. And at the Burt. Best venue. Great sound and energy. So many songs. Loved the way they performed their solos.
Show time was 7:30. First, a local bar band comes out as an "opening act"and plays until 8:10-8:15. Then they spend 15 minutes tearing down their gear. "April Wine"comes out at 8:30. There is one guitar player, Brian Greenway, who played with April Wine from '77 to '86. Bass and drums started with the band in 2011/12 and the lead vocalist, doing the Myles Goodwyn job, started with the band in 2023... So, for my money, this was a cover band doing April Wine material.. I felt terribly cheated, as I did when "Foreigner"showed up at the same venue a few years back with no members of Foreigner... I understand everyone gets old and band members pass on (R.I.P. Myles, and wishing Mick Jones the very best in his Parkinson's battle), but buying the band name and using it for ticket sales is plain dishonest. The venue shouldn't allow this to happen. I left a half hour into the April Wine show, when 3 of the musicians left the stage so the drummer could do a solo.. I thought those went out of style in '78..
The concert was excellent, good seats with a great view of the stage.
Wow, I wasn't expecting that!!!!! It was a damn good show.
