The Pretenders in Concert

The Pretenders cross the bridge between punk, new wave and pop music like no other band, with genre-defining songs like "I'll Stand By You," "Back On The Chain Gang" and "Don't Get Me Wrong." The band has sold over 25 million albums and founder & leader Chrissie Hynde is one of contemporary music's greatest songwriters. Chrissie's 2015 memoir Reckless: My Life As a Pretender, was hailed by the New York Times upon its release as "honest and distinctive... a love letter to rock and roll." After delivering 2016's unflinchingly head-strong Alone album (produced by the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach), the Pretenders continue to tour worldwide.

The Pretenders on Tour

The Pretenders are set for an extensive North American tour in 2020 with Journey to feature all new production and hits from start to finish in the 60+ date tour. Fans can expect to hear iconic classics from The Pretenders and Journey.

    Chrissy still has what it takes! They played all of their top hits and she still sounds wonderful. I really like this. If you like the pretenders, I recommend you go see this show.

    I bought our tickets as a birthday gift for my fiancee'. We upgraded when we got there to the VIP seated area where we had a waitress and could order food and drinks. The upgrade was worth every penny! The venue is awesome with a very 'rocker glam' feel. there really is not a bad view in the house esp from the VIP area, we just didn't want to stand the entire concert. The Pretenders sounded amazing! Chrissie sounds just as she did way back when! So glad we got to see her and the band for the fist time at this venue!!

    Chrissie Hynde was fantastic, as I expected and her current band is fantastic! Set was comprised of material from throughout her career, and about half from more recent material, which is excellent. Go see them if you can!

    I don't go to the Chicago theater very often for shows. My wife and I really enjoyed the Pretenders. We really like Chrissie Hyde. The band at times over loaded the amps so her singing was hard to understand. But performance was worth the price. Thank you.

    Sound was excellent and The Pretenders seem to be enjoying themselves. I enjoyed the performance. My wife and I are more familiar with their earlier work but still a great concert.

    What a great show at a great venue! Chrissie Hynde has never sounded better and the band she has behind her is top notch! Plenty of the "old"stuff mixed in with their more recent work produced a phenomenal ROCK SHOW that went on for nearly 2-1/2 hours non-stop! Thank you, Pretenders, for an unforgettable evening.

    Chrissie & band were amazing. Her voice has not changed at all, perfect pitch, still got the daddy snarl. She is a goddess. Band so tight & flawless playing. I went w/ my 50 yo son & dil. GREAT SHOW !!!
