Fit for a King on Tour
Like the best metalcore bands, Fit for a King offer an uncompromising, high-energy live show full of chugging riffs, clean and unclean vocals, and thudding drums. Accordingly, this approach leads to plenty of headbanging, onstage and in the crowd, as well as ferocious mosh pits. However, the group's penchant for more melodic elements ensures a Fit for a King show also has moments of soaring, dynamic urgency full of emotional heft.
Fit for a King are road warriors known for teaming up with other metalcore and deathcore bands. In 2013, Fit for a King appeared on the Scream the Prayer tour alongside Silent Planet, Wolves at the Gate and Everyone Dies in Utah, while the group has also toured with Ice Nine Kills, Light the Torch, Emmure, After the Burial and Awake at Last, and performed on Warped Tour and at the Uprise Festival.
Fit for a King Background
Fit for a King originally coalesced in Tyler, Texas, in 2007 as a sextet featuring drummer Jared Easterling and a variety of other local musicians. The band debuted the following year with a self-titled EP, and in 2009 came out with a second EP, Awaken the Vesper. In 2011, Fit for a King self-released their first full-length, Descendants, which led to a label deal with the heavier Tooth & Nail imprint Solid State Records. From there, the group started taking off and amassing a larger audience.
Their 2013 label debut Creation/Destruction charted on the Billboard Top 200 and Christian Albums charts. Fit for a King continued releasing well-regarded albums that sold well. In fact, the band's subsequent three albums — 2014's Slave to Nothing, 2016's Deathgrip and 2018's Dark Skies — all reached the Top 3 of Billboard's Christian Albums chart. In May 2020, Fit for a King announced a special collaboration with We Came as Romans: the latter's Dave Stephens appeared on a new version of Fit for a King's "Backbreaker."
4th show this year and they did not disappoint! Cannot wait to see them again!
yeah good vibes, met some new friends. good experience
Absolutely loved the concert! Not only was it a great show but the staff at TempleLive was wonderful as well!! Thank you for bring these amazing bands to our city <3
The show was spectacular! They played old and new music and it rocked! This is about the 4th time I have seen them live and they just keep getting better! Love seeing them live!
This show rocked. Kingdom of Giants slayed and kicked the energy into high gear, Chelsea Grin had so much range, and Fit for a King were a huge surprise to me! Amazing stage presence, called out the crowd as the hardest so far on tour, and I dig how they felt Wichita got left out and wanted to come through. TempleLive at Scottish Rite or however it's said is a really dope venue, and the balcony - while quite a leg to get up to - had plenty of seating. Will definitely see these acts and hit this place again!
Awesome experience. Good job for practicing in what you believe by not cursing to get the crowd moving. Took my two sons and they loved it! I loved it when you guys made a heart with your hands on Valentine’s Day and said, “You are loved!” So awesome. Could feel the atmosphere change when you guys got on because once again you practice what you believe!
I've seen fit for a king 3 times prior to this. The electricity in their performance was astonishing, the lineup was fantastic and their lead singer is a heartthrob. Would absolutely go again and again.
I enjoyed the show. They came with it. Please come back to Spokane.
The VIP experience was actually good and organized , unlike any other VIP I’ve been in, and the bands were straight up amazing. The only con is I wish the night never ended. Truly amazing
Fit For A King never disappoints! I've never seen a wall of death that big at this venue! The Devil Wears Prada, Counterparts, and Avoid also killed it! This was probably my favorite show of FFAK so far, and I've seen them several times. Definitely worth every penny to see these guys live again!
