About

Jordan Davis In Concert

Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1988, country singer Jordan Davis has Southern music roots that run deep—not only is his brother also a country singer, but his uncle, Stan Davis, wrote multiple hits for Billboard-topping country singer Tracy Lawrence. It would be putting it mildly to say that Davis grew up around music, but, ironically, he didn't pursue it as a career until after finishing his degree in conservation at Louisiana State University. Moving to Nashville in 2012, Davis would be exposed to a bright, hard-hitting world of singer-songwriters, citing John Prine and Jason Isbell among his favorites. Synthesizing his influences, Davis worked to come up with a smart, R&B-flavored brand of country rock, and he signed with Universal Music Group Nashville in 2016.

Davis' playful, romantic 2017 single "Singles You Up" reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Country Airplay chart and No. 4 on the U.S. Country chart, eventually going Platinum. The song also wound up on Spotify's Global Viral 50 chart. Davis' second single, "Take It From Me," a feel-good tune anchored by big, twangy riffs, has also performed well since its 2018 release. A singer-songwriter at his core, Davis filled out his debut studio album, ‘Home State,' with 10 more great songs, cowriting each one with pop rocker Paul DiGiovanni (Boys Like Girls), who also produced the album. ‘Home State' bears a pop-country energy that brings to mind musicians like Sam Hunt and Jason Aldean, and it reached No. 6 on Billboard's U.S. Top Country Albums. In 2017, Davis toured with country rocker Kip Moore's Plead the Fifth Tour. Davis embarked on his first headlining tour, the White Wine and Whiskey Tour, supported by Jillian Jacqueline, in February 2018, which took him to all corners of the U.S.

    Amazing show!

by Wendy D on 5/7/24Live Oak Bank Pavilion - Wilmington

Jordan Davis was amazing in concert. He really engages the crowd and is truly grateful that you've attended his show. For Live Nation, I got Fast Pass tickets for 2 Jordan Davis shows back to back. The first show, Fast Pass and General Admission were let in within seconds of one another. The FP lane was way slower than the GA lane. The second show, the FP lane did get let in a few minutes before the GA lane, but those in the GA lane got through faster than FP lane. The wrist bands being given out for the pit took an extremely long time. This was very disappointing. The show was great, no doubt, just a few glitches to be worked out with the lines.

    JD is simply awesome!!

by Jkin on 5/7/24Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre - Charlotte

Excellent show and all of the performances were fantastic. The venue was nice, however, first we’re allowed to stand at the fence near the stage and we’re very distracting to us who paid extra $$ for good seats. They should not have allowed them to stand there the entire show. Venue needs better directional signage as it was very difficult to figure out, and needs more lighting for safety.

    Outdoor Upscale Venu

by Jenni on 5/6/24Live Oak Bank Pavilion - Wilmington

The concert was exactly what my group of friends needed! The venu was outdoors, close to the river, and roomy enough to not feel on top of people if you didn't want to be.

Great Performance- vendors could expand offerings

by CurlieB on 5/6/24Live Oak Bank Pavilion - Wilmington

Performance was great, Jordan Davis was one of the best concerts l've seen. Here are the negatives We spent 35 mins trying to get logged into the LiveNation app and our email to get our tickets pulled up. There was no service and the app was apparently not working. Mind you a concert just a few weeks prior took us roughly 15mins to get pulled up on the app, where as in years past this was not an issue. The organization doesn't offer enough vendor stands for food, so you wait in incredibly long lines for food and drink. Local vendors would be some hood options to include and help support local small business, which fans love to do, just like supporting their favorite artists. A wider selection of non alcohol drinks....would be wonderful. You either have to wait in long food lines to get a soda or water, or go to what appears to be on 2 out of a dozen or so alcohol stands, to get a soda or water. Especially in hot heat, fans with children, medical conditions, or those who do not want alcohol. It would be great to have stands dedicated to providing these options. Even non alcoholic smoothies, snowballs, etc.

    Rock the ages

by Bill Lee on 5/6/24Live Oak Bank Pavilion - Wilmington

As an older guy trying to impress his girlfriend of 50 years, (ok yes, we are married) at a concert where most are young and spry and STANDING UP the whole time, I did the best I could and actually stood about half the time. Not sure if there needs to be a senior area, or maybe just don't allow older people up front? Anyway, I had a great time, and the music was amazing.

Meet n greet ended up being during her performance! And part of Mitchell Tempenny show was told that meet n greet was at 7 turn up being at 7:45 ! I wish they would done meet n greet before the show ! We was happy to see all three play at the end of the show .
