Merriweather Post Pavilion is my favorite venue for concerts. Plenty of parking including garage parking which allowed us to get rain gear on and off without getting wet. The venue has plenty of restrooms and several water bottle fountains so you can stay hydrated. Food pricing and taste was similar to other venues. MPP allows concert goers to bring in their own which I take advantage of to help with expenses. Friends who have food allergies are willing to go with me to a concert at MPP because they can bring in food they can enjoy while enjoying the concert!
Every year this gets an A+. Great bands, great atmosphere, and great people. Will continue to attend every year!!!
Another great M3 Rock Festival. Started off with the official pre Party with Pete Evick & Dean Cramer (of The Bret Michaels Band), doing a hit filled 4 hour acoustic set. Then a killer line up for the actual festival. Queensryche made my day by capping off day one with The Origins Tour set list (EP & The Warning, start to finish). So exciting to hear songs they don't play very often. Day two, was non stop, Cold Sweat, Faster Pussycat, Stryper, Night Ranger and another super fun Bret Michaels show, with guests Dee Snider and the guys from Night Ranger jumping in too. The weekend goes so fast, can't wait until next year!
The venue and the event were the most awesome weekend I could ever hope for. Meeting new people building friendships and the most awesome concert on the planet. I couldn’t have asked for a better time.
everything was great but when i got there Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning all the parking lots were blocked off except for one that was a dirt road and the was nobody there to ask where to go
Really a good time with the music and the crowd. The rain kinda dampened the mood some. Saturday was good and Sundays bill was awesome with incredible sounds and performances. Brett pulled off a real party in the rain.
The staff at the venue did an amazing job ! The concert ( bands) were fantastic… A great weekend at Merriweather Post Pavilion!
Not withstanding the weather on Saturday, because it rained and was cold, the Saturday show was ok. Disappointed that Queensryche didn't do their hits, they did their regularly scheduled tour set. Those of us who only know the hits, waited all night to be disappointed. Sunday's line up was AMAZING start to finish. All the bands played all their hits. The artists engaged the crowd. It ended on a high note! We are already talking about who we'd like to see next year.
I love this festival! I have been a long-time hair metal fan and wanted to see Stephen of Ratt so bad. The bands did not disappoint! I only wish that there were more instructions or directions for the VIPs. I was lost trying to find where to meet the bands.
