About

Heralded as one of Polynesia's #1 commercial recording artists, Maoli has been credited with over 21 #1 Regional Island Reggae Hits. Since their debut in 2007, the group has been steadily on the rise, having performed in at least 42 of the 50 states, as well as New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, Guam, and Saipan Territories.

Maoli's music has matured into a sound and style constantly evolving to reflect and meet the eclectic taste of the group themselves and their loving fans. Maoli has developed their own unique sound by fusing the elements of Country, R&B, Soul, Acoustic, Rock & Roll, and Reggae. This "Country Reggae" has been labeled as heartfelt, uplifting, feel-good music with an impressive reach, enabling the group to sell out the largest venues in the state of Hawai'i.

At The i-Heart's Island Music Awards in 2020, Maoli won the "Album of The Year" award for "Sense of Purpose", along with the prestigious "Group of the Year" award. They were able to replicate that success in 2021 winning the 'Album of the Year' award for "The Breakthrough," as well as 'Song of the Year' for "My Reason." Among those awards include a 2020 Na Hoku Hanohano Award for "Reggae Album Of The Year." It's only through tireless perseverance and attention to artistry, that they were proudly able to achieve these awards completely independently.

The saga continues as the group continues to release a new, genre-spanning single every two weeks as a part of the Maoli Music Overload project.

    Disappointed

by Mama4 on 5/7/24House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

I purchased 2 tickets for my husband in October as an anniversary gift for the event on Friday, April 26, 2024. I purchased the tickets that included the meet & greet with Maoli and I even purchased the foundation room access. We arrived just before 6:30p which was more than enough time to meet & greet because it states that doors open at 7p but meet & greet is 1 hour prior to doors opening. Mind you, this was our first time at the House of Blues in Anaheim. I asked a gentleman when we arrived, where the line was for the meet & greet was, so he told us where to get security checked and then told us to walk through the open doors. There was a lined formed so we just followed. Our tickets got scanned and we waited, no clue that we would stand in line for a good as long as we did but also didn’t realize that we were standing in the general admission line. The doors finally opened around 7:20 or so, after the 7p time that online says. The place was extremely packed and uncomfortable, it was hard to walk around, at times no would move or budge just to let you through. I feel like they just let everyone in and didn’t care that it was over capacity. The whole place just seemed so unorganized. To top it off, there were so many openers that night. I think the crowd got tired of hearing another opener was coming on the stage and it wasn’t Maoli. Maoli didn’t even come on until after 10:30p…that was 3.5 hours after we got inside the House of Blues. Looking back, we honestly could’ve met with Maoli that whole time for meet & greet. All that extra money spent on VIP tickets and we didn’t even get to really use them. It was such a bad time and this really put a horrible experience for us at this establishment. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going and I definitely wouldn’t go again. I was very disappointed. If I could, I would’ve done “0” stars but that was not an option.

    Crowded and long

by Drea on 4/29/24House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

We were so excited for this concert and had bought our tickets last year and did not see any openers listed anywhere. We got there early to get a good spot and we were in the front. After the first 2 unexpected openers that had 40 min long sets, there was another preparing to go on and we were being squished in the front and so we decided to try to move to the back but the room was so crowded we could barely move. There was no where to stand in the back and we stood by a bar area and watched on a screen as the next opener went on. They played for another 40ish minutes and by then it was 9:40 so we decided to leave because there was nowhere to even stand and watch from the back. Later I saw online there was possibly even another opener so a total of 4 before Maoli even took the stage. So disappointing, we were so excited for this concert for months and couldn’t even get the chance to actually watch it because the room was packed with people and the “vip” seated area was $325 per person. I’m sure Maoli’s performance was great but I wish we could’ve experienced it without being crushed between people.

    Completely oversold

Completely oversold…also tickets said 7pm with no opener listed, ended up having multiple openers and didn’t go on until 10:30 at the earliest

    Hot

by xoxo on 4/29/24House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

Maoli himself was AMAZING!! The venue was way to small for someone as big as him. There was no air flowing in there. You had people passing out left and right. Sold out show of 1900+ people in attendance!! You don’t expect anything less than cramming 1900+ people in a tight space. Overall, Maoli was amazing, but it would be beneficial to have it outdoors where people are able to breathe and not feel so squished.

My husband and I are blessed to live on Big Island and San Diego. We were so excited to see Maoli. Wonderful concert and wonderful people sharing the true spirit of Aloha. Many Mahalos for a taste of the islands. We miss it so much.
