Bonobo is constantly testing the boundaries of the ever-expanding landscape of electronica, pioneering new sonic territory with his downtempo, percussive style. Combining ambient sounds and lush synths, Bonobo creates a dream world for fans to escape to during his live shows, mesmerizing audiences with abstract tracks like “Kirra” and “Cirrus.” Whether he’s performing solo or with a 12-piece band, Bonobo will reward fans with his distinct sound and stunning visuals on 2014's The North Borders Tour. 
 
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Simon Green, a.k.a. Bonobo, got his start probing drum machines and producing music in his hometown in rural Britain. This sparked his passion to DJ full time, which included playing local gigs and releasing his 2000 debut Animal Magic under the moniker Bonobo. Since then, he’s collaborated with artists like Erykah Badu and Grey Reverend (Cinematic Orchestra), performed at the world-renowned Coachella festival, and played sold out shows worldwide. The North Borders Tour 2014 will be just as electrifying as Bonobo treats fans to old favorites alongside new tracks from his 2013 fifth studio release.

    Bonobo’s performance was excellent! Great energy and flow, loved the full band, and the lights and background imagery enhanced everything wonderfully. Tourist was a good opener, their lights were awesome as well. The Fox was a nice venue, it was easy to find seats for general admission and it’s cool to have the flexibility to switch between seats and standing. Shout out to Alex at the bar! She was so nice and had fun energy! I would come back to the Fox for more shows and would definitely see Bonobo again!

    I've been trying to get into different music genres and I wow was I right in picking Bonobo. The whole time I was listening to them I couldn't help comparing them to Yoko Kanno's work. Bonobo is if the Seatbelts were more into synth and less into jazz. Amazing performance and I'm putting them into my list of much-see whenever they come to the area.

    Bonobo put on a great show! The visuals were top-notch and his music of course is incredible. We had a blast (went with a big group of friends), the venue was perfect (The Van Buren) and the staff was friendly and courteous. Drinks were good too, the bar is very nice. I recommend catching your favorite artists at this venue. Ticketing/entry was a breeze too. Cheers on a very well executed event, zero complaints.

    I'm not a young person and I've seen a LOT of concerts. Really big names and big productions. THIS is above them all. The venue was intimate yet spacious. The back up guy was great! Bonobo was AMAZING and the audience interactive. A+++++

    This one is for the books. Really surprised by the quality of the first Part, and also by how it was organized. Since we have a little boy, and are tired, we watched the show seated upstairs. Just WOW!!!
