There's nothing like a rock show with a full set of strings and horns in the back! Song selection was perfect for the ensemble. Highly recommended. Looking at their tour dates to see when I can go again.
This is the first time I saw Symphony on the Rocks and loved it. The music was high energy and the crowd was definitely engaged. Ames Center is a great venue and I intend to see more productions. I would have preferred to see/hear more of Mark Wood but seeing him was also good.
The concert was great. The symphony orchestra added a lot to the concert. The band has 7 lead singers. Beautiful harmonies!
This is third time I've seen this group. They're always amazing. The addition of Mark Wood from Transiberian Orchestra was a great addition. It's so much more amazing to see and hear this music in person than listening to CD. The only down side is that the sound mixing seemed off in the first half. They must have made some adjustments during intermission and it was better in the second half.
1st time seeing this group, voices were great and played good songs. The orchestra with them was fantastic.

Not only was it our first time at the Ames Center, which is an incredible place BUT it was also our first time to listen to Vic Ferrari and he stole the show! All of the instruments, the energy, the music was absolutely the best. From the horns jamming to a Chicago tune, to the sax man playing Urgent, the strings wailing on Cashmere by Led Zeplin, the singers, everything was truly awesome and I would recommend this band anytime and anywhere. GREAT SHOW! THANKS!
The symphony really added to the experience. A great time was had by everyone around me. So many hits that were performed with rich horns and deep base. Such a high bar for the whole evening... but when they did Sledgehammer, that was the highlight for me. Great show!
