Heart-warming representation
by LA on 5/6/24Wilshire Ebell Theatre - Los AngelesAlways so eloquent, Alok’s show is somewhere in between spoken word and comedy. I laughed throughout, but at times I also cried. My cishet boyfriend walked away saying he’d learned a lot about the Trans community, but I also felt like he learned more about me and my experiences as a pansexual person, in a way that wasn’t coming across when I spoke about my most significant past relationships. Alok definitely has a gift. Plus being in that space felt like visiting home, as much of the audience was queer. That being said, I got these tickets from my friend who is cishet and had seen the show in another city and loved it, so all are welcome… just remember to bring an open mind and heart! 🩷 🤍 🩵 💛 🩷
