About

Ari Shaffir is an American standup comedian. In addition to his numerous appearances on the Joe Rogan podcast, he is best known for his last special, "Jew," which has garnered almost 7 million views and was written up in The NY Times in its list of best specials of the year. You might also know Ari from the storytelling show he created and hosted on Comedy Central called "This Is Not Happening." Ari also has a Netflix special called "Double Negative" and a Comedy Central special called "Paid Regular." Ari Shaffir has also appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, Are You Garbage, Your Mom's House, 2 Bears 1 Cave, This Past Weekend, Flagrant, TigerBelly, and many many more. These appearances have made him a favorite in the comedy podcast world. His new podcast, You Be Trippin is one of the biggest podcasts of the year and comes out every week wherever you watch or listen to podcasts. Ari is the reigning president of the Legion of Skanks podcast to which he has no affiliation. He placed first in the nonsteroid category of the legendary Sober October challenge, which he also destroyed shortly thereafter so he could found Protect Our Parks with Shane Gillis and Mark Normand which he fooled Joe Rogan into hosting.

The deal is this is a dirty show. It's not completely offensive but absolutely are some parts are offensive. So don't bring that one friend in your friend group who makes that tsk noise a lot. Just tell them you're doing something else, or your grandmother died, or your grandmother killed somebody and you gotta be a character witness. Whatever. Just don't bring them. But everybody else can for sure come. Ari puts on a hilarious show every year of all new material and he brings amazing openers. So, it's just a really funny night of legit mainstream standup and you're going to have a great time every time.

  • Ari rules!

by Mitch on 4/6/25Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This was his best special/material by far in my opinion such a smart set, basically a collection of 4 really long jokes/stories. Incredible stuff from Ari, 10/10. Openers were just ok

  • Bert Sucks

Amazing. All new material and I left with ideas for what to do with left over socks that don’t have a mate.

  • Ari was great! But the seats weren't.

by CT on 3/18/25Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

My husband and I saw Ari at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. We bought the 1st and 2nd seats in the second section, front row, so basically sitting on the right side of the stage. We were sitting where we could look over the balcony and watch all the comedians walk on stage. I was excited because I was SURE the comedians would look up into our section. The only person who did was Ari, and he looked to his right, instead of his left. The sound was also pretty bad, since we were sitting behind both sets of speakers on our side. Ari was good, the seating wasn't.

  • Ari the great! Amazing…well you know 🍄

Ari was great, venue was chill. Bar lines were kinda long. I did like how they turned on the air half way in the show when the room started getting hot. Testament to a good venue. Come back to SLT ARI !!!! #shroomfest

  • Ari is a must-see!

He performed with a good edgy set and I'm really glad I saw him from the front row. I can't wait to see him in West Michigan again.

  • Too politically incorrect for my taste

by Mindy on 4/19/24The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 2 out of 5

A lot of his sketch really bothered me. Comics can be funny without insulting people based on mental health, drug addiction, race, religion, gender, economic privilege and IQ. Many liked the show, just not anyone in my group of 6 friends.

  • Great show! All 3 comedians brought their A game

by Angie on 4/8/24The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

My date and I had an absolute blast seeing Ryan, Colum, and Ari! Their under lying theme of pedo-jokes struck me like a great horror film; giving you a new perspective on your surroundings. The day after the show while wandering around downtown Detroit, there happened to be a gymnastics/spirit squad competition going on, and there were pockets of little girls dressed in spandex and too much make up. Colum would have been able to get a good litmus test on finding "the one."

  • Great Show!

by Chel_C on 3/28/24The Charleston Music Hall - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing Ari and we were not disappointed! Both openers were great too. I liked that it was at the Charleston Music Hall and not a HUGE arena. We will definitely be buying tickets next time he comes around!

  • Held Back by Crowd

by Johnson on 2/20/24Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5

I’m not sure if it was just who we were around, but it seemed like the crowd hadn’t ever heard Ari’s comedy.. I felt like he and his opener toned it down (at least some based on my prior experiences) due to crowd responses and that sucks. We’ve been fans of Ari for a long time and I just hope he knows that not everyone in Iowa is uptight. Ari and his opener were great, the crowd got 0 stars from us and should definitely watch comedians before going to their shows and acting shocked when they hear dark humor. Please if you are offended by comedy, don’t go to these shows and ruin it for the rest of us who actually want to be there. We were bummed there wasn’t a meet and greet after.

  • Wow!!

by Steph on 2/20/24Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5

I surprised my fiance with tickets as we are huge into the comedy scene and Ari DID NOT DISAPPOINT 👏👏 The theater itself was pretty cool lots of history but when I say I was laughing the WHOLE show 🤣🤣 I will definitely be seeing him again if he comes back!! Everyone around us also seemed to enjoy the show as well!!
