About

When Dad feels like a little bit of Sunday afternoon time out, Bluey and Bingo have other plans! Join them as they pull out all of the games and cleverness at their disposal to get Dad off that bean bag. BLUEY'S BIG PLAY is a brand-new theatrical adaptation of the Emmy award-winning children's television series, with an original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, and new music by Bluey composer, Joff Bush. Join the Heelers in their first live theatre show made just for you, featuring brilliantly created puppets, this is Bluey as you've never seen it before, brought to real life. BLUEY'S BIG PLAY is presented by BBC Studios and Andrew Kay in association with Windmill Theatre Co.

Bluey's Big Play is friendly for all ages so the whole family can enjoy! Please note that, after the performance, audience members will be invited to participate in games of "keepy uppy" - one where several air filled balls (made of materials which do not include BPA, Latex or PVC) are released into the audience, and another with bubbles (made of non-stain solution). As with many children's games, playing "keepy uppy" may at times become boisterous and unpredictable. If you do not wish to participate in these games, we recommend you leave the theatre after curtain call.

    Smiles All Around

    by Dsammy04 on 5/11/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The show was very charming. I took my two year old son to see the show and he is an avid Bluey watcher. He was smiling ear to ear enjoying the show. The show was also good for adults as it had a sub story about our own relationships we need to maintain as we get older. Production, music, actors, stage all were great. The games at the end were good and the people in the center rows will get the best out of it. Although others can crowd the stage at that moment. We also did the meet and greet and the staff did a great job capturing meeting Bluey. Only thing that sucks is the merch will be costly avg $25 for each item. At least at the Chicago show.

    Bluey really was terrific!

by Helcat on 5/8/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

This was a fantastic show for our 4 1/2 year old granddaughter! We were in the 3rd balcony and she still could see everything. The background setting was very creative and the puppet masters were wonderful. It lasted 50 minutes and we enjoyed every minute of it. Great cast, great story, great characters.

    Cute show, fun theatre

by MMM on 5/8/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Overall this show was really cute and fun. The characters were great and we had a fun family day at a fancy theatre. My one complaint is that the keepy-uppy balloon game at the end only involved the attendees in the front section of the theatre. We were in the dress circle section and the balloons didn't make their way to our section which was disappointing. More balloons should be released so that more kids can interact at the end.

    Wonderful show but short!

by LB on 5/7/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

We love Bluey and were thoroughly entertained the whole show. Loved the stage and puppeteers, thought it was very well crafted and touched upon some Bluey episode favorites. However for the cost and trouble to get there, we were surprised how short the show was. It was under an hour! My kid was really sad it ended so quick and I was pretty surprised too. So keep that in mind if it's worth it for you, but overall a wonderful show!

    Cute but short

by Laura on 5/7/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The show itself was very cute and well done. My son loved it. However, it was very short, especially considering the amount of money we paid for tickets. Not worth the price.

    Bluey

by Jmbg on 5/7/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Good but could have been longer. Also, when they tossed the balls out at the end many kids were crying because they couldn’t get a chance to play. They should have gotten some up to the balcony and they could have asked the adults to let the kids play.

    Cute but very short.

by Grandma Evie on 5/7/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Enjoyed the show:characters were true to form, puppeteers did amazing job. Was surprised at how short it was. Also very disappointed at end when characters threw out big balls for audience to tap around. All were in front, so only first 10 rows Enjoyed this

The show was very entertaining for both kids and adults. It was full of fun and laughs. The only disappointment was how short it was. Was expecting it to be longer than 40 minutes.
