About

BRIDGET EVERETT:

Free-spirited funnywoman Bridget Everett always leaves fans in stitches with her raunchy songs and rapid-fire standup. She owns the stage outright as she brings her sidesplitting songs to life with over-the-top energy and soulful vocals. Her small club shows are unpredictably interactive, whether she’s dancing in the crowd or bringing volunteers on stage for funky numbers like “Coming for You”, “Come and Get It”, and “What I Gotta Do?”. With tons of risqué favorites served up with swagger to spare, Everett’s cabaret style of standup gets ticket buyers LOLing as she takes a walk on the wild side with them on tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Self-described “alt-cabaret provocateur” Bridget Everett grew up in the small college town of Manhattan, KS. She left for the Big Apple in the early ‘00s to pursue comedy and hone her skills in small local clubs. It was in New York that she developed several sexually-explicit cabaret-style songs, which soon became the defining feature of her fearless stage show. Performing with her live band The Tender Moments -- which includes Ad-Rock from The Beastie Boys and Carmine Covelli from The Julie Ruin -- Everett became a fixture in the city’s standup community. She continued to make a name for herself with appearances on Inside Amy Schumer, The Bachelorette, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and eventually landed her own half-hour special on Comedy Central in 2015 called Bridget Everett: Gynecological Wonder. Bridgett Everett continues to climb the ranks of standup’s elite as she slays live audiences with her raw energy and raunchy tunes.

I've been a huge fan of Bridget Everett for a while and it was amazing to be able to see her live! She is so energetic and engages the audience constantly. Most of the songs are also on her album, but they were so much better live! I will pretty much be depressed until she comes back to Michigan!

She is a hilarious woman. Made us laugh from start to finish.

  • Why do people think this is so funny?

by MustLoveDogs on 11/14/16The Vic - ChicagoRating: 2 out of 5

Based on the reviews, I expected Bridget Everett to be very funny. She does want people to laugh -- that clearly is the intention -- but she relies on shock; her material is not clever. I laughed at the beginning, then I got bored. I wish the show had a message -- some redeeming quality -- not just trying to make people laugh by being surprisingly vulgar. If at the end she tied all of the pieces together with a message about acceptance, that would be very cool.

An evening spent with Bridget is an evening well spent. She will shock you with her humor and touch you with her humanity. I've seen her act several times and I find something new to love every time. I love this woman.

  • Loved Bridget Everett

by Marilynho on 11/7/16Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Bridget was unlike anyone I have ever seen before. She is hilarious, but also touching. We laughed and then tested up when Bridget let her sensitivity show through. OMG I can't wait to see her again. Plus she has a beautiful pure voice. I'd actually like to see a show in which she sings more. Love her!

  • Unbelievable

by jentoyou on 11/7/16The Fillmore Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Just when you think she's crossed the last line, she does something even bigger. It was amazing. If I wasn't belly laughing than my jaw was on the floor. She's so much fun. She plays with the audience. I'd go back to see her any time she's in Philly.

  • A night to remember!

I thoroughly enjoyed this show. I haven't laughed so hard in ages, and watching it, I also felt empowered and inspired. Bridget has no fear onstage, and she holds nothing back. Loved it!!

  • Fun Times

Bridget took us by surprise from the start of the show. I smiled and laughed for most all of her performance. If you are prudish I would recommend staying home. For the rest of us, it's a show I'm very glad I was able to see. I came from California for my birthday to see her.

  • A Great Performer and Engaging Night

by DUDEfromNJ on 11/6/16Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

She opens at high high energy and stays at that level right through the last moment. If you have seen her act on TV she stays true to herself and it's worth it. At this show she also weaved in abruptly a strong emotional performance dedicated to her deceased father. I know that sounds odd but it grabs you by the heart and if you have lost someone close good luck not crying. But fear not she shifts gears smoothly back to laughs and you will be right there again rolling in your seat. I have seen many big name comedians and this show rivals anything.

Great time. The only problem was the acoustics were not very good so I only heard about half of what was said. We hard 10 in or group and all of us had the same problem. Show was great.

Great show! Bridget was really funny. I can't wait for her to come out with new material. I thought the show was really short.

amazing. hilarious. outrageous. completely, 100% entertaining. would have given 5 stars but the show was an hour and fifteen min late to start with no info given about why they were so late. Despite that I DEFINITELY am planning on seeing her again.

  • Fantastic Night!

by RScat on 11/16/15Brighton Music Hall - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

My only complaint was the doors opened at 8 and the show didn't start till 9:20. The opener was good and Bridget was awesome! So Funny! This is not a show for children or those who don't like being touched by an almost naked stranger.
