CALVIN RICHARDSON IN CONCERT:
Beloved crooner Calvin Richardson has long been a neo-soul favorite with his silky-smooth voice, sensual productions, and passionate performances. Richardson is known by fans as the "Prince of Soul", and concertgoers will have no trouble seeing why -- at his live shows he delivers luscious tracks like "Keep On Pushin'" and "You're So Amazing" with an ease and precision that never fail to leave audiences in awe. Richardson made waves in 2014 with the steamy R&B single "We Gon' Love Tonite" -- the lead single from his sixth studio album I Am Calvin -- and he continues to elicit collective swoons on his must-see tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Monroe, North Carolina-born Calvin Richardson was a familiar presence on the gospel circuit before he joined the R&B group Undacova in the early '90s. After that project failed to gain traction Richardson went solo, and in 1999 he released his debut album Country Boy on Universal Records. The album sold more than 100,000 units, paving the way for the success of his 2003 sophomore album 2:35 PM. That album peaked at No. 8 on the R&B chart, spawning the hit single "Keep On Pushin'" and earning Richardson a Grammy nomination for the track "More Than a Woman". The Grammy love continued in 2009 when his album Facts of Life: The Soul of Bobby Womack -- a tribute to the late great singer -- was nominated for two awards. Following the 2010 release of his fifth album America's Most Wanted, Richardson took some time off to pursue other projects including a stint on the reality TV show Come Back Kings. Following four years of studio silence, he reemerged in 2014 with the single "We Gon' Love Tonite", a triumphant return that has ticket buyers eagerly awaiting his upcoming tour dates.

For starters show begin hour and half late Richison performance was average, alot of songs he sang was from other artists. I was aspecting him sing his songs. Overall was disappointed
I was disappointed with the time the concert started. It was schedule for 7pm. It started after 8pm. I drove from Memphis raining the entire time to get to the convert. I don’t know if I would drive again to a concert far way for the delay in time for it to start. The performance was ok. The seats were too far to the left of the stage so if I had a chart of the stage I would have picked better seats.
I really enjoyed the concert. Chrisette Michelle was exquisite! Calvin Richardson was very good. Not to mention he is hella sexy. The venue was wonderful. It was clean and there were plenty of attendants to offer assistance. My only complaint is I wished they would have sung more songs. Great show!
Calvin Richardson experience/ see above. He made it personal, because he sang on the stage n the floor. He also invited the guest 2 come on the stage n line dance with him 💃🏿💃🏿
I had an amazing time at this concert! Even got a chance to meet and take a picture with Mr Calvin Richardson after the show, he was patient and super sweet.
First of all was the surprise that Chrisette Mechelle was also on the show ( I bought the tickets on Calvin's name only) and she was great. MC Lightfoot did an awesome job, I would love to see him do his own show. Just In had an great voice also. What can I say but I love love love Calvin Richardson and he didn't disappoint. All in all it was one of the best times I've ever had.
Calvin Richardson’s line up was not hood. The young gentleman was great but was not impressed with Michelle. Calvin Richardson allowed spectators to come to bottom of the stage. This hindered and interfered with us paying for better seats. They allowed these spectators to stay the duration of the concert. Paid $100 for front row seats. Not impressed.
Great concert Great sounds Great venue at MPAC Great line-up I’lll definitely attend another show!
He does not need to sit down on the stage because the women gas him surrounded and we out in the auditorium can’t see him. Which one of his guys did come lift him up. With the roses when he did come off the stage only went to one side. But other than a few things, it was a good show.
