CHET FAKER Concert Schedule and Tour

With major acts like Cut Copy and Empire of the Sun emerging from Australia's electronica scene, it’s no surprise Chet Faker hails from Down Under. Creating the perfect music to chill out to, his soulful vocals are the highlight of his shows and add an organic twist to music based on looping beats and synth keyboards. Chet Faker's 2014 headlining tour in support of his debut album Built on Glass is sure to bring venues to capacity like Summit (Denver) and the Depot (Salt Lake City), and will have fans dancing to his seductive beats all night long.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Paying homage to one of his many  influences Chet Baker, Nicholas James Murphy put his own spin on the jazz trumpeter’s name with his new alias. His debut EP under the moniker, 2012’s Thinking In Textures, generated significant buzz with a unique cover of Blackstreet’s "No Diggity,” topping the HypeMachine charts and becoming a viral sensation. Since then, Faker has proven to be a diverse talent, collaborating with fellow Australian producer Flume on his Lockjaw EP and remixing artists like the Temper Trap and MS MR. The ARIA Award winner gave fans two reasons to rejoice in 2014: he dropped his debut full-length album Built On Glass that’s smashing barriers between analog and digital, and he’s embarking on a massive international tour.

  • ok but not awesome

by Jack on 6/4/24The Bellwether - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

super short set. startered after 9 following the opener. some momentary highlights but at least half the music was too campy to dance to. he also dropped a lot of grating chaotic staticky sounds that seemed to have no purpose but hurt ears. he finished the set before 11 and left a sample on loop that was so piercing i can only think it was intended to rapidly clear the house. the floor was at about 70% capacity and nobody was dancing. just bobbing around staring at the DJ. we were fortunate to have lounge access and a private mezzanine to dance on otherwise we would have left the show. on that note the Looking Glass lounge is awesome and i highly recommend the extra $85 to have access to it. would not go see Chet Faker again.

  • Good show, disappointing venue

by justinSLC on 9/24/22The Depot - Salt Lake CityRating: 4 out of 5

I have been going to The Depot since it opened, but this was my first show in a few years, due to Covid. It's disappointing to see what they have done to it. They built out some new seating around the upstairs balcony, which would have otherwise been a good thing. More seating upstairs. But they roped it all off as "suites" that require payment to access. Most of the upstairs at this show was restricted. You couldn't get anywhere on the sides, or down toward the front of the balcony section. If you're just someone who bought a ticket, you're limited to an area about 15 feet in front of the bar, where there are no seats, and you're mixed in with the crowd waiting to order drinks. This was also the only area in the venue where alcohol was permitted. It's a crowded mess. On the main floor, the story is similar. Lots of areas were restricted or reserved. There were no tables around the perimeter of the standing area. People were literally sitting on the floor eating their food while plenty of empty tables were behind ropes in the "suites" It was insulting. If this is how shows will be operated in the future, this venue will be a low priority for anything other than a booking that I absolutely must see.

Chet was phenomenal in a fantastic venue with surprisingly stellar openers...looking at you Thunder! 👏

  • Chet Faker is the man!!!

by Miles on 9/23/22Summit - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Chet at the Summit Denver was probably one of the best live shows I've been to in my whole life! I feel damn grateful that he came through the states for a tour and would drop everything to see him again!

  • Should have played longer

by Cdub on 9/23/22Summit - DenverRating: 2 out of 5

Great performance but 1 hour and 9 minutes is weak. I gave up 1/2 my day to see him and he should give us our money’s worth. I’m not sure I will pay to see him again based upon the shirt performance in Denver.

  • Awesome!

by KG on 9/20/22Majestic Theatre - MadisonRating: 5 out of 5

Chet Faker was AMAZING! What an experience. Adi Oasis was also a great performance! It seemed like there were volume issues and her magnificent voice on the microphone was slightly too loud- I blame that on the venue NOT on Adi Oasis, she’s amazing.

  • Chet!

Great performance. I am a bigger fan now than before the show.

  • Terrific show!

Was really looking forward to seeing him live and he exceeded expectations! Super talented and great crowd :)

  • Happy/Sad/Happy/Sad

by Itchy Rationale on 9/16/22House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I love this guy's music. First time seeing him live and it was everything I had hoped it would be, so I'm happy. I don't understand why Chet isn't more popular and the concert wasn't packed, so I'm sad. I don't really like crowds or lines or people (really) so I'm happy. I put another sad in the title for effect.
