Chicago Bears History

As one of the founding franchises of the National Football League, the Chicago Bears were established in 1920 as the Decatur Staleys by legendary player, coach and owner George S. Halas. The team moved to Chicago in 1921 and has gone on to win nine championships, including Super Bowl XX in 1986.

The Bears have 37 players in the Hall of Fame, the most of any NFL team. In the community, the Bears strive to be leaders throughout Chicago and its suburbs by supporting initiatives focused on social justice, youth football, health and fitness, volunteerism and civic involvement, and education. Bears players participate in community outreach events throughout the season. Bears Care, the team's charitable arm, has issued grants totaling over $29.1 million to over 200 qualifying agencies.

  • Great experience

Great customer service by the staff member by the door in section 210 at the United Level. Also the representative that scan my ticket to enter the United Level access was so cheerful and friendly to all the guests.

  • AWESOME SEATS

by TBABY on 12/29/24Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I was so happy with our seats given the price, we had access to United Club and Covered seats so while it was raining on some, we were able to enjoy the game and the fans were so much fun to be around. A real spirit booster.

  • One of the poorest NFL experiences

by Jon on 12/29/24Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

The stadium was clean. The food options rivaled a high school basketball game. The concession stand was out of half the menu by the beginning of the 3rd quarter and the food itself was meh. Four dollars for a 4 inch hotdog. There wasn't even an option for a chicago style hotdog. At 30 degrees and raining, coffee was impossible to find. Beer was the only thing readily available. Aside from Oaklands old stadium, it was easily the worst "pro level"experience I've had. The sooner they build a new stadium outside of the city the better. That's my last time in Soldier Field.

  • Not bad for a first time

by David Garcia on 11/20/24Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

We got shuttled from the parking garage to soldier field and back after the game. Food at soldier field was below average. Expensive and small portions at the Taco place. The hot dogs were undercooked and so were the onions. The game was a close game. Expensive tickets and the upper level was blocking part of our view.

  • First Time at Soldier Field

Sitting in section 216 is a great experience. Always purchase tickets under section covering. Keeps you away from elements.

  • Bit disappointed

by Ruggy on 10/2/24Soldier Field - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

The seats were great, great experience of viewing the game. The food items we looked for couldn’t be found. I asked an usher but they couldn’t help. I walked around nearly the entire first floor and couldn’t locate the food items desired. I would love if they had some sort of map showing food locations. We were stuck with chicken fingers and hotdogs.
