Cincinnati Bengals Team History

The Cincinnati Bengals were founded by legendary head coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer Paul Brown, and played their first season in 1968. The Bengals got their name from Brown's coaching past, as tiger mascots had been a common thread throughout his career. The Bengals have won 11 AFC North Championship titles and three AFC Championship titles. They won their first division title as part of the AFC Central in 1970, becoming the first expansion team to win a championship in its first three years.

The Bengals first advanced to the Super Bowl during the 1981 and 1988 seasons, and then again in 2022 for Super Bowl LVI. Since 2005, the team has advanced to the playoffs nine times, including two AFC North Division titles.

We enjoyed attending the Tampa Bay vs Cincinnati pre season NFL game. However, we were completely shocked by how terrible the food was. If that is how the food always is, it is embarrassing. Nevertheless, we will eat before the game next time.

  • PAYCOR STADIM CINCINNTI OHIO STADIUM HAMILTON COUNTY OH

by JW on 8/11/24Rating: 1 out of 5

Cost to high for the Hamilton County Property Tax Who pays all the money or the stadium causing lots of us lose our homes , foreclosure etc The stadium should not be paid by property taxes in Cincinnati Ohio. STADIUM should be paid by the TEAM OWNERS not property taxes only no other county in Cincinnati since they do not pay for our entertainment nor going to the games since price of tickets to high, Shut the stadium totally down and sent it to another state, and have all the ones that go to the games pay for the stadium with putting cost in the ticket people not property taxes HC only state or counties needs to PAY along with TEAM for total cost or close down the stadium unless paid for the stadium by all the state of ohio along with team paying for all cost.

  • so fun, but the price gouging is insane

by maddie on 1/10/24Paycor Stadium - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

Dear Paycor Stadium/NFL, please come down on the ridiculous prices and allow more Americans to support their favorite football team. Between the ticket, the parking, the food, beverages and WATER, it is just TOO MUCH. I understand this is a business but the insane price gouging has got to stop. Sincerely, a fan

  • Great game terrible walk from parking to seats

by Trish on 11/29/23Paycor Stadium - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Game was amazing but the walk from where we parked to the seats was two miles.

  • Horrible Facility

by Jenna on 11/29/23Paycor Stadium - CincinnatiRating: 1 out of 5

Paycor Stadium needs a major makeover. I still cannot believe that the clock system and all of the screens went out for almost 6 minutes of football. As fans we had no idea how much time was left, or what down it was until the referee told us. Along with that, the sound system was HORRIBLE! You could barely hear anything they were saying. And when you could hear, it was because the system must've been turned all the way up - way too loud. Lastly, the food is disgusting. I am not very happy with my experience at Paycor Stadium - they need to invest some money into that stadium before paying their QB $275 million.

  • Disappointing

by Tom on 8/19/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Team practice on field not next to fans so you could not really see the practice.

  • Well organized. Lot of fun.

by Jim on 8/16/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Cold drinks water, coke Gatorade Hot Dogs. No waiting plenty of seating and room.

  • Exciting watching practice exchanges.

by Marilyn on 8/16/23Rating: 5 out of 5

My son and I sat & watched the practices. The best was after the practice how the players came over to autograph fans' items. I got several signatures on hats. But I have a once in a lifetime moment when the wonderful Sam Hubbard told me to turn around & signed the back of my Hubbard jersey. 🥰☺

  • Bengals STM Training Camp

by Joe on 8/16/23Rating: 3 out of 5

There were long lines to get in and the mobile ticketing wasn't working very well for some people which created further delays. They should have had more players signing autographs, The STMs are their most loyal fans and the people who stuck with them through the poor years. The Bengals and players should have went out of their way to thank these fans. In previous years about half the players hung out and signed autographs, this year it was maybe 20 and very few of the big name players.

  • Practice 8/13

by Jeff on 8/16/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Some shade for the bleachers would be nice. The “VIP’s” shouldn’t be the only ones spared the sun.

  • It is what it is

by Jim lunsford on 8/13/23Rating: 4 out of 5

It was a preseason game learnedsome things about the Bengals always room for improvement

  • Disappointing

by Rachel on 8/12/23Rating: 1 out of 5

I have been to a few open practices that were way better than this. Advertising it as a “closed practice” for “just season ticket holders” was really wrong to do. It was the complete opposite. Half of the fans were packers fans and the line to get in wrapped all the way around the Kettering facility. I wish I just went to an open practice when I only had to wait behind a few people and could actually see. I don’t mind having packers fans there at all, and I love this team, but this event was so poorly executed. It was so overcrowded and not worth it at all. Waste of a day

  • Good but not great.

by Corbs on 8/12/23Rating: 3 out of 5

The game atmosphere is fine but the food and drink prices are outrageous. The beer selection in the club area is very poor. It would be nice to have some local ales and lagers on tap.
