  • Cringeworthy

by Kathy on 3/16/25Rating: 2 out of 5

I love Danae’s humor in her TikTok videos. Unfortunately, at her show she departed from the material that brought her fame. She was unnecessarily crass. Her material was simply an uncomfortable recitation of her journey of realization and acceptance of her sexual feelings and orientation. That could be fodder for hilarity and support but instead resulted, at least for me and my friend, in feeling that we were eavesdropping on her private therapy sessions. It wasn’t funny. It was tragic. That said, she was prepared and had good timing. She interacted well with the audience. Starting in medium/large sized venues seemed to be premature. But she definitely has the talent and personality to be a major presence in the national comedy scene.

  • Over the top entertainment!

by Julie on 1/20/25Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Danae puts on an incredible comedy show that keeps her audience entertained, laughing and wanting more. She’s definitely a must see! We flew to Austin to see her show then saw her again when she came to Seattle. I’d recommend getting the after show tickets if available.

  • Underwhelmed

by Amber on 1/14/25Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 3 out of 5

We were so excited to see Danae’s show, but it was underwhelming. When I pay to see a comedian, I expect to be out of breath from so much laughter, but this show hardly presented those moments, mostly light chuckles here and there. I will stick to enjoying Danae’s quick reels & stories on Instagram. Wishing her so much luck & success!!
