THE LION KING premiered on Broadway in 1997 and has since become the third-longest-running musical on Broadway and the first to hit the $1 billion mark at the box office. The North American tour is an equally grand theatrical achievement, having welcomed over 20 million theatergoers in more than 80 cities.The six-time Tony Award-winning production features direction by Julie Taymor, music and lyrics by Elton John and Tim Rice, and choreography by Garth Fagan. Wonderful cultural experience

The costumes, singing, choreography and story alignment was on point. The only thing that would’ve made this a 5 star review would have been for the arts center to have a better speaker system. The musical number were fine but when they had dialogue, it was hard to hear. There were no speakers behind us and only in front of us. It didn’t make the experience full circle for us. Lots of kids obviously so their natural wiggles/noises made it harder to hear so had the speakers been behind us, it would have been better there to drown out the noise.

Could not hear the voices clearly at times due to being in the nose bleed section along with the audience background noises that created some distractions.
