  • Awesome - Peaceful - Extraordinary

by Gale Newbold on 3/31/25James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

I have been wanting to go see Eckhart Tolle live for years, so when I saw he was coming to Miami, I gladly planned the 4 hour trip down that way from Orlando, and I was not disappointed a bit. He was the peaceful, wise, and present teacher, author, and speaker that I hoped he would be in person. I was captivated, and took my husband with me....even though this is not his thing....and he found him absolutely interesting and thought provoking as well. I didn't see him take out his phone once! I was surprised by the amount of people there in the James L. Knight Theater, almost all of the 5,000 seats full! The seats on the floor were too close together, meaning it was hard not to touch the person next to you, however....I mostly found the atmosphere, lighting, and audio to be quite enjoyable.

It’s always been on my bucket list to get the opportunity to hear Eckhart speak. It was everything I could imagine and more….an absolutely wonderful, life-changing experience and I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to sit in his presence and listen to him speak

  • What a lovely talk!

    by E.L. on 3/31/25James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

So nice to see how many people came to this event about spirituality. Felt like we were at the Miami Open finals. Eckhart is a great teacher and makes spirituality easy and fun.

  • Eckhart is great, but th James Knight center is a nightmare

by Sophie on 3/31/25James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

It was great to see Eckhart. However with James Knight center is horrendous horrible. From the traffic to the parking to The venue itself, horrible seats (foldable chair for 2 hours) hurt your lower back. Sound system you cannot even hear the speaker. And they shut down half of the elevator to park in garage we had to wait 40 minutes a to up toparking garage And 40 minutes to get out. I would suggest Eckhart really change location that is easier and peaceful to get to next time when he come to South Florida. Deeply love Elkhart, but I hate to say that I would never go to Miami to see him again

  • To be in his presence

by KerenMiami on 3/30/25James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Ekhart Tolle is a known quantity. You know what he is going to talk about and it’s always worth listening. This talk was at James Knight center in miami and started at 7:30. It was pretty prompt and started about 7:45 and people kept arriving until past 8:30 which is a shame and disruptive. There was no one stopping or directing them and constantly people were moving and talking. Also the lights were on the whole night which was strange. We sat on the left side and I wish I sat more center because even though we were row F I couldn’t really see him and had to watch the screens the entire night. Otherwise he is inspiring and wonderful. He gives a whole talk without notes or prompts and makes total sense. I simply love him.

  • Full of distractions

by CA on 3/30/25James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 1 out of 5

Poorly managed event. Started on time but half of the audience was missing. Therefore. The event was full of distractions while people arriving to their seats.

  • Better stick to the podcasts

by DCFTL on 3/30/25James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

I love him, have read all his books and listen to his podcasts regularly. The setting was awful, too cold, the sound was bad - roo low- and people coming in and out and making noise very distracting. Also he was not his best, I know his lectures are not scripted, but I have listened to his podcasts and some are brilliant. This one was not, he was all over the place. We left before the end as we were falling asleep...

  • Confused

by Mr. Optimist on 3/30/25James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

The venue should be torn down. The acoustics were awful, and there was persistent noise from the people working there, obscuring Eckhart's poorly amplified voice. As for the content itself, a meandering, circular exploration filled with truisms and well-worn banal observations of what everyone already knows. Absolutely nothing that you cannot scrape off the internet.

  • Incredible

by Howie on 3/30/25James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

It was such a wave of emotions, getting there was incredibly difficult. Traffic wouldn't let up and I made it there late by 20 minutes. You couldn't drive into the venue because there were so many cars. I climbed up the stairs and made it to my seat, the girl next to me chews gum really loud and keeps popping bubbles. She pulls out her phone every thirty seconds. Eckhart is amazing during all this, I finally had to get up because I couldn't handle all the people there. Coughing and ringtones which is hysterical for an Eckhart event. I hid in one of the hallways and followed his meditation techniques and learned a ton. I feel like he is best for a retreat maybe but having the contrast of all the craziness going on really made it a fun experience for me. I learned to calm down amidst all the chaos.

  • Eckhart is brilliant. Venue was horrendous.

by Bruce on 3/30/25James L Knight Center - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Eckhart is brilliant, as always. The venue was horrible. Noise from behind the stage, hard to hear Eckhart, elevators were very slow and packed, the parking was a nightmare.
