From Ashes to New In Concert

When Matt Brandyberry was growing up, he had designs on being a rapper, but he also played in a rock band. Years later, when the vocalist began writing music and seized the opportunity to start his own group, he decided to combine both of these talents. The resulting band, From Ashes to New, has quickly become one of hard rock's leading lights, largely due to their savvy combination of influences.

The band's two albums — 2016's 'Day One' and 2018's 'The Future' — boast Linkin Park-esque nu-metal with hip-hop-influenced vocals and dizzying electronic textures, as well as moments hewing toward more straightforward rock 'n' roll with blazing guitars and urgent tempos. The results are contemporary-sounding and fresh, which no doubt explains why the band has enjoyed chart success. The 2015 single "Through It All" peaked at No. 6 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, while "Crazy" landed at No. 3 on the same chart in July 2018.

Brandyberry founded From Ashes to New in 2013 with other musicians from the Lancaster, Pennsylvania, music scene. Although the band's lineup has shifted over the years, the quartet today has settled into a confident groove, thanks in no small part to the singer's main vocal foil, Danny Case, who alternates between melodic singing and guttural growls.

Live, From Ashes to New's double-vocalist approach takes center stage. In fact, the two men stand up front, bark out their vocals with confidence, and serve as anchors for the hard-charging instrumentalists.

In 2018, the band teamed up with Bad Wolves for the What's In Your Head tour, and was also one of the openers on the Breaking Benjamin and Five Finger Death Punch co-headlining arena tour. From Ashes to New more than held their own, which puts the band in a great position to expand their fan base and continue to grow.

  • Better Treatment then Kia Forum for VIP people

by elijahaguirre on 6/12/24The Observatory - Santa AnaRating: 5 out of 5

You guys knew how to handle people with different types of tickets. I had VIP met and greet with the headline band and you guys told us to line up based on your ticket status. Compared to The Forum where no one knew what they were doing to the ViP people. Keep it up. Enjoyed the venue and will return for another future event.

  • One of the best concerts I’ve been too!

    by Ma.ritza21 on 6/11/24The Observatory - Santa AnaRating: 5 out of 5

From Opening band Elijah to closing band From Ashes to New. Everything was on point : Ive been to many concerts like Wage War, Motionless in White, Metallica, Def Leppard, and I kid you not when I say the way each artist/band member try to interact with us their fans was just so AWESOME. This sort of vibe I expect from each concert I go to: all these bands need more recognition. Words can not describe how great it felt that day. (I personally felt I went back to time 🤘🏻) before all this covid ruined our society !!!

  • A night to remember

  • Amazing stage presence

by Silverdollarkelly on 6/9/24House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

I saw this show twice, (in two different venues) and both times I was impressed. FATN hands down had the best stage show I've seen in a long time and overall has incredible stage presence. They do an excellent job of making you feel included, they have great visuals, they're all up close to the edge and interacting with everyone watching and most importantly, they sound f'n GOOD. 10/10 recommended, do yourself a favor and go, do even better and take your friends. You won't regret it.

  • Great experience.

Going through hard things in life the best way to release it is to find your feelings through music. Currently going through a divorce and from ashes to new was the first band that made me feel ok. It's been a tough road but I'm so thankful I found them as an outlet. It reminded me of stuff I would listen to as teenager also it's crazy. Seeing them live was an experience you can't put in words. The first actual thing I've done single. I did end up going alone and it was so accelerating. Keep doing what you're doing guys. You're helping people in more ways than you will ever know.

  • Awesome

by Cec on 6/8/24The Van Buren - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert! Even the other bands that were there were pretty good. The Van Buren was decently sized, but no seating except on the balcony, which cost an extra 80 a person. But besides that the Hall was nice and cold considering how hot it was outside. FATN put on an awesome performance, first time seeing them in person, and they knocked it out of the park. Reminded me of the last Shinedown concert I went to last year.

  • Good

by Steve on 6/8/24The Van Buren - PhoenixRating: 4 out of 5

  • Show goes on

by HBC on 6/8/24The Van Buren - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

Ashes to New put on an amazing show. I was in the very back.of the venue and could still see them like I was in the front. The energy they brought despite being up since 4am due to their vehicle breaking down was amazing. I will be watching out future shows to see and even travel to.
