GIN WIGMORE IN CONCERT:
Fierce singer-songwriter Gin Wigmore is causing a ruckus in her native New Zealand and overseas with her jazz-infused rock, sassy lyrics, and edgy style. At her electrifying live shows she commands the stage with her unique, raspy vocals and tears through the rebellious track "Black Sheep" and the grungy guitar number "Kill of the Night" with reckless abandon. A fearless performer, Wigmore always delivers one unforgettable set after another for devoted ticket buyers on her high-octane tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Gin (short for Virginia) Wigmore began writing songs at the age of 14 when she penned her first piece "Angelfire". She took a hiatus from music for a few years after her father died but returned to writing with her tribute song "Hallelujah", which won the 2004 International Songwriting Competition and beat out thousands of applicants. Her career took off from there, beginning in 2008 with a breakout self-titled EP that was certified platinum in her native New Zealand and landed her on tour with Sheryl Crow and Pete Murray. She continued her success with her debut album Holy Smoke the following year -- a No. 1 smash hit record that spawned several radio-friendly singles and helped her sell out shows across New Zealand. In need of some inspiration for her second release, Wigmore ventured to the United States and immersed herself in the jazz and blues culture of the South. The result was 2011's Gravel & Wine, which topped the charts on the singer's home turf once again and featured the Top 20 hit "Black Sheep". On tour the five-time New Zealand Music Awards winner puts her feisty attitude on display and thrills eager fans with her popular collection of tunes.

My first post covid concert and it was a great time! Motorcity soundboard is such a great and intimate venue! Cant wait to see Gin again!!
This is my 4th time attending a Gin Wigmore concert, and it will definitely not be my last! I have been an instant fan since seeing her in the Heineken commercial, and seeing her life made me a lifetime fan. Every performance is stellar, she gives her all and also engages with her audience, making every show special and intimate, especially in the small venues she picks, which makes her concerts even more special. If you liked her as an artist on the radio, wait until you hear her voice live. I cannot say enough about this amazing artists, both talented, kind and pleasant, always making time for her fans. If you ever have a chance to see her, you are in for a treat and guaranteed to be a bigger fan.
Truly amazing show. Jen did not disappoint at all. Opening acts were great and she was as energetic and charming as ever. It was great hearing her classics and some of her new stuff. Really great concert.
It was incredible to see Gin Wigmore perform, she had great energy and really seemed to be enjoying the moment. For being in a small venue, those subtleties really translate into an amazing experience. I hope to see her perform again soon.
Awesome show. Gin Wigmore is one of the most under the radar stars of today. Her engagement with the audience, lyrical inspiration and songstress talents are amazing. Her band is a show of its own. If you enjoy live music and a rocker with soul, check out Gin Wigmore and you will have a new favorite!
Gin’s show was so great. She never disappoints. The venue was perfect size and had both seats or open floor. A fun night!
Always a great high energy show, love her! Nice mix of old and new songs.
I saw this band at Warped Tour years ago and was enthralled with their talent and fantastic sound. Seeing them at the Neptune was amazing! The crowd was very diverse and everyone enjoyed the intimate environment, which really enhanced our experience. Every song enthralled the audience - singing, dancing, swaying......we were in tune with every beat of every song. She sang her heart out to us and we loved her even more for it!
I was quite surprised and my wife was as well to have gone to a really good show lately. Gin Wigmore is a really good rock roll band to see live. First time at the Neptune as well and I would be happy to see more gigs there.
This is the 3rd time I've seen her and she is always awesome!! Great live singer, a lot of energy, I would recommend this up and coming artist!! I will be seeing her again!!
