GIN WIGMORE IN CONCERT:
Fierce singer-songwriter Gin Wigmore is causing a ruckus in her native New Zealand and overseas with her jazz-infused rock, sassy lyrics, and edgy style. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Gin (short for Virginia) Wigmore began writing songs at the age of 14 when she penned her first piece "Angelfire". She took a hiatus from music for a few years after her father died but returned to writing with her tribute song "Hallelujah", which won the 2004 International Songwriting Competition and beat out thousands of applicants. Her career took off from there, beginning in 2008 with a breakout self-titled EP that was certified platinum in her native New Zealand and landed her on tour with Sheryl Crow and Pete Murray. She continued her success with her debut album Holy Smoke the following year -- a No. 1 smash hit record that spawned several radio-friendly singles and helped her sell out shows across New Zealand. In need of some inspiration for her second release, Wigmore ventured to the United States and immersed herself in the jazz and blues culture of the South. The result was 2011's Gravel & Wine, which topped the charts on the singer's home turf once again and featured the Top 20 hit "Black Sheep". On tour the five-time New Zealand Music Awards winner puts her feisty attitude on display and thrills eager fans with her popular collection of tunes.

Gin was gone too long, but she didn't miss a beat and she mixed her new album with her older material. Her band is so tight, and they showed no signs of rust despite this being her first tour in awhile and her second show on the tour. Great venue too!
a very fun concert but at 65 minutes a few songs short of expected. She fronts a real rock band!!
Gin Wigmore provided so much amazing energy on stage that it was felt from the front to the stage to the back of the room. She had her vinyl record and other merch for sale (Pro tip: Always try and get the merch first before the show even begins. Less waiting and your size in t-shirt is always available). I hope she comes back to Boston soon!

Wanted to see her since her show was cancelled in Newark Ohio. Gin didn't disappoint with the music however wish the show was a little longer. Venue was great and perfect size!
The woman is pure energy and a great entertainer. Despite to relatively small audience for the Indy performance, she danced about and sang with a passion. See her if you can.

Second time seeing Gin Wigmore and second time being blown away. I just love her energy on stage. If she's in NYC again, I'll definitely see her again.
I had a awesome great time one of my favorite artist Gin Wigmore. Love her voice and style also great venue not to big and not to small just right. Will definitely come here again to see other shows
If i could give it more than 5 stars i would. In fact i looked up to see where she was playing next to see if i could drive there and see her play again. The band was phenomenal as well as Gin and they all seemed so tight and having fun together. It was amazing.
This was my third time for an up close and personal feeling concert. I was in the fifth row stage right. Gin always does a meet and great after the show and she is the most friendly person and really appreciates her fans. Gin has 3 CD's out and you can see her growth in each new CD. Looking forward to Gin's next CD.
If you fell in love with Gin Wigmore's songs and recordings, you are going to have your mind blown at her concert. I loved every minute that I was at the concert and I can't wait for her to come back.
Small house with quiet fans. Matthew Santos opening was awesome. Gin did not disappoint: every single song was a hit, the crowd was energized, and her vocals did not sway for a second. If you can catch this tour, catch it. She's sensational, and her band is too (especially the drummer. That dude has more energy than all three guitarists combined).
The band was tight, Gin's voice was on point and perfect. It was that rare concert where the live venue and the lack of studio production really brings out the energy and more in the artist. Just fabulous.
Gin Wigmore, what more can I say than she was really great show. A few friends of mine were willing to as we call it " take a chance on music ". Hadn't really heard of her before, we decided to check her out & the fact that she was playing at our favorite venue made it an easier choice to go. The band was tight & on time. Gin's vocal was just fantastic. The 6 of us had a great time & we all said that we'd definitely go see her again. I certainly do hope that she does stop in this area again soon. So that we can bring more people to experience what we saw.
Gin is a fantastic singer/entertainer... I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I took some friends and my daughter and her boyfriend and we all came out at the end saying how fantastic she was. The venue is small but not too small, never a wait at the three bars they have. I hope to see her again soon, I'm sure she will require a bigger venue, I see her going far and I will be at any show she appears at in the area! Good luck Gin and hope to see you soon!!
