Gypsy Kings delivered with a high energy performance. Great musicality, and Nicolas Reyes is a master of the guitar.
Great show overall! Nicolas' performance as you would expect masterful! The rest of the band killed it loved the instrumentals and the music they create. Disappointed on length of show, it was around a hour and 20 minutes....maybe. Venue was great easy in and out with parking etc. Bars a plenty and friendly staff.
I love the Gipsy Kings! Awesome guitarists and music! High energy! Nicolas is amazing! I look forward to seeing them again!
The Gipsy Kings are awesome, my 3rd concert!!! Venue is good, parking good. My disappointment is the intro act, not that it wasn't good but the GKs didn't appear for an hour after the concert was supposed to start. I bought a ticket to see the GKs not the intro act so the wait was frustrating. When the GKs appeared it was only for 90 minutes and they walked off, reappearing for an encore but I wanted more of the GKs and not waiting an hour to see them. Well actually 2 hours because the doors opened an hour before the intro act.
The Gipsy Kings always put on a great show. Wild Horse Pass is one of my favorite venues. Small and every seat is good!
The location for this event was HORRIBLE!! First, there was not enough internet access to pull up our tickets on our phone! We had to go to another counter to have them printed. Second, chairs were set up in (what appeared to be) a ball room with EVERY CHAIR on the same level making it impossible to see around the people sitting right in front of us! Yes, there were large screens set up at the front of the room but from our seats, our view was obstructed and only a small portion of the stage could be viewed. Third, the sound system was HORRIBLE! The guitars were louder than the vocals so you could not hear the words, when you could the voices were muffled. Lastly, Nicholas Reyes is way, way past his prime and should no longer be performing, at least he should not be paid for this kind of performance. His voice was not hitting the correct notes, cracked and he was not able to hold the correct notes when needed. This was the third time I have paid to watch this band perform. I paid over $400 for two tickets and will not pay to watch them again. So very, very disappointed!! Our tickets indicated we were seated in "Premium Seat"and entitled to "an autographed copy of Memoir, "Becoming A King". We did not receive the memoir and no one at the counters knew anything about it.
My first Gipsy Kings concert. Absolutely incredible. What incredible musicians. Highly recommended, if you have the opportunity.
Saw them for the first time 25 years ago at Radio City & every chance I get since then. Nicolas & the boys never disappoint! Always a great time!
I thought the band was great, the energy was good, however, the sound was less than satisfactory. It’s the venue and the sound people that could’ve done a better job, but the band was amazing. However, the concert was extremely short for what you were paying for.
We’ve seen the Gipsy Kings since the 1990s. They continue to put on an unbelievable show. My adult aged daughter who has been to many different concerts and saw them for the first time said “this is the best concert I’ve ever seen! The musicianship is amazing!” The best part was the surprise encore. This alone made it worth every dollar we paid.
There is a huge problem with spending so much money FOR front row seats, so people from the back rows can come up front and get in front of you for the whole concert. NOT OK!!!
