About

HANABIE. is a metalcore band from Tokyo, Japan. The four female members — vocalist Yukina, guitarist Matsuri, bassist Hetsu and drummer Kaede — met in high school and began making music in 2015, combining the loud, brash sounds of metalcore with Harajuku-style aesthetics. Initially a cover band, the foursome released their first single, “Crash Over,” independently in 2016. Kaede exited the band shortly thereafter, leading to the band cycling through a number of drummers. HANABIE.’s self-released debut album, Girl’s Reform Manifest, arrived in 2021 and two years later, they signed a record deal with Epic Records Japan. The band released their major label debut, Reborn Superstar!, in the summer of 2023 after announcing Chika as their new drummer.

    Truly amazing… they’ll be headlining big arenas soooon—they were incredible. I have nothing bad to say at all. I will definitely see them again

    Hanabie is a band I recently got into because I liked Babymetal and was looking for something more intense this band delivered! There outfits where colorful and Hanabie brought energy to the crowd. Hanabie got the concert goers moshing, chanting, and stage diving. I have a feeling this band will become big in the metal scene.

    Disclosure: I went to the concert at the last minute, having no clue who Hanabie was, nor did I listen to a single song prior. I wanted to dive in fresh and be blown away. And let me just say, they not only didn't disappoint, but they far exceeded my expectations! 🤘

    I saw these girls last year in PA, you could tell they were nervous and not too sure of themselves, this show… wow they crushed it. You could tell that they had no worries and just having fun on stage. Their playing was flawless. Absolutely fantastic show.

    While I enjoyed the experience of seeing Hanabie live for a reasonable price, I did not enjoy the venue experience offered by LiveNation, as they no longer offer re-entry in hopes that you spend your money at their overpriced bar and their smoking area is a tiny section of sidewalk in front of The Opera House and an adjacent optometrist office where you have to stand shoulder to shoulder with other concert goers. Shame, since The Opera House is a nice place and even has a restaurant with a patio that they could have re-purposed for people to take a break between sets.
