Must see event! We had awesome seats and thoroughly enjoyed my birthday gift. I had dreamed of viewing Iliza Shlesinger in-person and it could not have been better. We could not stop laughing, and yes tears fell.

Iliza S’s sharp observation of the male and female behavior is not only spot on but hilarious. Her jokes are never mean spirited and always funny. It’s impressive how she manages to educate while entertaining. A fantastic night every time!

    Iliza - Unstoppable

by Julenissen on 5/7/24The Ricardo Montalban Theatre - Hollywood

The magic of Iliza is that she brings her true self, revealing the humor in herself and the rest of us. This was the first time I saw her live after watching all her streaming specials. She is just as you hope; intelligent, energetic, sincere, and so funny. During the show, she explained that she had just had her second child two months prior and was dealing with a bit of hoarseness (to which she slurped tea loudly into her microphone with a grin), yet she was just as animated bounding across the stage. She held nothing back. I brought my 18-year-old daughter (dad & daughter time) as I think Iliza is a great role model for a young woman. We purchased the meet & greet option, and afterwards got our picture with her. The stage crew moved everyone through efficiently, but it was easy to see that Iliza sought to make a connection with each fan. The two opening comedians were entertaining, especially the first one. The Montalban Theater was a cozy venue in a great location of Hollywood. The size allowed an intimate evening between artist and audience. The staff and security were very professional and nice. The bar, snack bar and restrooms were all clean. We parked in a parking structure next door to the theater. It was a great evening! Thanks, Iliza!

    Disappointed

by Soggy in Seattle on 11/21/23Paramount Theatre - Seattle

This is more a review of the entire experience vs the show itself, which was really funny and entertaining. Seattle is known for rain, and this night did not disappoint in that regard. It was raining cats and dogs and cold. The show time was 9:00 pm. We got there right around that time, travelling from Bellevue, which is on the eastside of Lake WA. Upon arrival we see a line that spans several blocks long with no shelter. We stood dumbfounded in the rain trying to figure out the best plan to avoid getting soaked to the bone while waiting. So we decided to go try to find a spot close by to grab a quick drink. Well, as you probably guessed, all the bars that were in the vicinity were full due it being Sat night and some of the patrons of the Paramount having the same idea. So we aimlessly walked around trying to find cover. Which we finally did across the street due to a kind employee of a restaurant that made an exception for us. The doors did not even open until after 9:30 and the show started around 10:30. And this was not even Iliza, it was her opener. Seeing this venue is in Seattle, rainy Seattle, in the dead of late fall, I would suggest that the start time to an event here be properly communicated to the patrons to avoid unnecessary time in the elements. We could have stayed home for at min another hour and still made it in time. The doors did not open in time to visit the concession or dwell in the lobby for more than 5 minutes. The entire experience was much to be desired. I was very disappointed with the entire process.
