Jacksonville Jaguars Team History

The Jacksonville Jaguars joined the NFL in 1993 along with the Carolina Panthers, bringing the NFL’s total franchise number to 30. In their inaugural season in 1995, the Jaguars became the first expansion team in NFL history to record a .500-or-better division record in its first season. Since their inaugural season, the Jaguars have won two division championships and have made eight playoff appearances.

Since their inaugural season in 1995, the Jacksonville Jaguars have played their home games at EverBank Stadium in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, along the St. Johns River. The 67,814-capacity stadium opened in 1995 as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, then underwent numerous renovations and name changes (to Alltel Stadium in 1997, EverBank Field in 2010, TIAA Bank Field in 2018, and EverBank Stadium in September 2023).

  • Poor logistics and poor product

    We missed the pre-game anthem and fly by because the ladies couldn't get into the stadium due to an inadequate number of female friskers. The cops kept telling us to move on, but all the guys were there creating a traffic jam waiting for the girls. The Jags ownership pitches 'value' at the concession stand but $4 for a water is a rip-off. We'll leave it to ESPN to talk about the product on the field. 1st home game of the season, still plenty of time for improvement though.

    Great seats in section 202. Convenient to parking, food and drinks (bud zone). Great view of the field.

    The crowd went wild whenever the jaguars made a first down. they were all in unison chanting, "move that chain".

    Every year its like a blessing when the season gets going. Everyone from the vendors to security had an upbeat attitude and were very helpful with directions and shopping. the only thing we didnt like was about half time the grills were running out of food, but no biggi we ordered something different. My family loves the Jags and the whole experience of coming to the games and i am very big on good attitudes, thats what makes it enjoyable, thats what brings fans together, and thats whats wins games!!! Have a great season Jax, Im proud to be a Jag from Savannah Georgia
