The show itself was excellent. The music, singing and entertainment in general were excellent. We also loved the interactions between the three main performers and the musicians. We had VIP tickets so the Q and A afterward were very interesting.
When purchasing the tickets, I wasn't sure whether to expect mostly comedy silliness or a straight swing tunes jazz performance, but this was a delightful mash up of both: total fun with high caliber musical performances all around. A refreshing way to celebrate the season! Please have them again next year!
The band was fantastic! Singing was really good, and Jane Lynch is awesome.
I would give this show more than 5 stars if I could. The Bear’s Den is such an intimate theatre and so everyone is up close and personal. Jane, Tim and Kate really kicked us into the holiday mood. The music, the vocals, and comedy were exceptional. They could not have been any more personable or kind. They did a meet and greet after and signed cd’s and took photo’s with fans without rushing. If they ever come this way again, without a doubt we will go to see it again.
I had no idea what to expect with this show is I’ve only seen Jane Lynch in mainly comedic roles. It was wonderfully delightful and exactly what I needed to put me in the Christmas spirit. The Tony Guerro quintet was fabulous as well. It was a delight to see the drummer smile during every song they played. And for the record, I saw the show tonight’s in a row.
What an amazing experience! Jane Lynch is a musical star. Although known for her jokes (of which there are many in this show too), Jane also has superb singing chops that she showcases with a medley of songs in a cabaret-style performance. Also loved how Kate Flannery (Meredith from The Office) sings and cracks jokes alongside Jane - they are a hilarious pair. Would definitely see Jane again next time she comes to town! Really blown away.
Easy to tell this show is a passion project for her....she works her butt off for a little over an hour, unveiling hilarious moments and personal things about her life, both touching and outrageous. Great laughs throughout, totally loved it and would recommend.
SO GOOD! I love Jane! The songs she sang were great. I especially loved the "songs that made us cry as kids" medley! Fantastic!!
I am so happy to hear this show is coming back on tour!! I did not write a review when I first saw it, but wanted to share this now so that all my fellow music lovers do not miss out on the second tour. I went to 'See Jane Sing' with a bunch of girlfriends, and she did not disappoint! We had such a wonderful time. Jane had us singing, non-stop laughing and dancing in our seats. It was a true variety show. The band was terrific and we were super impressed by Jane's talent. I cannot wait to see her again. I highly recommend this show to all music + comedy lovers out there!
Being a huge Jane Lynch fan (with a particular affinity for Glee) I was pumped for a show full of show tunes starring the lady herself. I LOVED everything about this show! Loved the classic awkward Jane humor and the irony throughout had me giggling the whole time. I also found myself singing along to every song I knew! Me and my friends had an absolute blast, we didn't want the show to end!!
