  • Cleese was awesome!

by Ki on 6/12/24Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 4 out of 5

My biggest complaint was with the theater. The seats were too even so eveyone had to tilt their head either left or right to see beyond the person ahead of them, so I spent the whole show shifting my position. Somewhat bummed you had to pay extra to meet John Cleese, but he was as fun y and charming as expected and I am so happy to have gone!

  • Comedic master

Loved the Q&A but wished he took some live questions. Veered off into unknown waters at times but expected nothing less from a mind working overtime😊

  • Hilarious off the cuff

After the film screening, John Cleese spoke for an hour. He was answering audience questions most of the time. He had us all in stitches! He's as hilarious as ever. I wish I'd bought VIP tickets to meet him afterwards.

  • A marvelous Wit and treasure!

by ShowPup on 4/29/24McCaw Hall - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Always funny, always charming. John Cleese gave his audience (and they were all his) a terrific show, and musings that reflected the times, as well, and frankly my family and I were surprised how long he remained on stage with his non stop wit. Certainly at his age (sorry but one might think at 84 he wouldn't have the endurance, but I guess those stem cell treatments really work!) I hope I see him again sometime :)

  • British Comedic Legend

by JW on 4/21/24Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Mr. Cleese never seemed phased. I punch-lines were good belly-laughs. He never held back his thoughts about life. I enjoyed his video clips of his time in Monty Python and scenes from the movie "A Fish Called Wanda."I'm glad I got to see him while he's alive and well. Thank you.

  • Loved it. BUT....

by Cossack62 on 4/16/24City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 4 out of 5

We loved it for the most part. John was great. We attended the Gove of Anaheim show. The projector had technical difficulties which was a bummer. We had never been to the Grove of Anaheim for a show before. The chairs in the venue were so close together. A larger lady sat next to my fiance and because the chairs were arranged touching she was crowding my fiance. Very uncomfortable. We enjoyed John's talk but he got off the subject a few times. We did learn a lot about the making of the movie and other projects. So overall it was the venue that was a bit lacking. If you are a fan by all means go.

  • Boring/Long

by Evans on 4/16/24City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 2 out of 5

Was unaware there would be an hour and a half long cheesy boring movie. I thought I was going to a stand up show

  • Loved John and the Pythons

by Baer on 4/14/24City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

Had a rip roaring fine watching The Holy Grail and listening to John reminisce with his daughter! Even my wife had a great time (and she usually thinks the Pythons are very silly people...). Thank you, Sir Cheese!

  • Great performance, needs better seating

by Afan on 4/13/24City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

John Clease was great! So funny and learned a lot about the film, history, and the actors. Only thing not that great was the seating at the grove. Super tight and uncomfortable.

  • Great Seeing John Cleese but VIP package was Horrible

by EW on 4/13/24City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 4 out of 5

The movie was great as usual since it is Monty Python and the session with John Cleese after the movie was great. The Grove Of Anaheim was less than stellar for their VIP treatment. One bartender who was so slow we ended going to the lobby to get drinks and made it back before the line even moved in the VIP area. The food selection was poor as well as the limited stale food items. Don't waste your time on the Crystal Lounge and their VIP. Even the projector had issues when showing the movie. I mean come on.
