Kassi Ashton has put her own unique stamp on country music, from her diverse influences that span R&B, rock and soul to her small hometown upbringing in California, Missouri, whose name she borrowed for the title of her 2018 debut single. After spending her teenage years honing her musician skills and songwriting craft, Ashton moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University's School of Music. However, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2014 and forced to take a break from performing while successfully seeking treatment. After signing to UMG Nashville in 2017, she shared a steady output of singles, including 2019’s “Pretty Shiny Things” and 2020’s “Black Motorcycle.” Ashton’s 2022 single “Dates In Pickup Trucks” became her first to crack the Billboard Country Airplay chart, only to be topped by 2023’s “Drive You Out of My Mind,” which peaked at No. 42 and remained on the chart for over five months. Over the years, Ashton has collaborated with country elites like Keith Urban and Shane McAnally and toured with Maren Morris, Old Dominion and Jordan Davis.

    Kassi sang from start to finish. Not a bunch of stories and filler. Just a lot of great music. If you haven't seen her live, you're missing out!

    Kassi Ashton was amazing. In such a good venue as the Blue Note, it felt as if she was performing to me and my friends. It was very personable. The passion Kassi shows in the songs she sang really had you feeling she was living the song at that moment. I'm not a big live music fan, but I will see her anytime I'm able.

    Great performance! Kassi has the IT factor. Previous show was in memphis and she didnt have a full band just displayed raw talent.
