KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD IN CONCERT:
Guitar god Kenny Wayne Shepherd is one of the fiercest young axmen of his generation, and he continues to blow audiences away every time he takes the stage. The self-taught virtuoso is a sight to behold in concert, where his furious fingers and flailing blonde locks serve as the perfect counterpoint to the precision and ease of his razor-sharp riffs. Whether he's playing bluesy originals from 2014's Goin' Home or covering legends like Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, Shepherd always treats fans to electrifying performances that are as heavy on pure gusto as they are on musical chops.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Shreveport, Louisiana-born Kenny Wayne Shepherd got his first guitar in early childhood and began learning the instrument with a unique self-taught method. He was quickly recognized as a guitar prodigy, and at age 13 he was invited to play on stage with blues icon Bryan Lee. His first performance at the Red River Revel Arts Festival in Shreveport attracted the eye of label execs, and before long Shepherd had signed a multiple record deal with Giant Records. His 1995 debut album Leadbetter Heights topped the blues chart, a feat he repeated with five subsequent albums including his 1997 sophomore album Trouble Is... -- the longest-running album on the Billboard Blues Chart in history. In 2014 Shepherd released his seventh studio album Goin' Home, another chart-topper that has fans eagerly awaiting his next must-see series of tour dates.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Awesome show!!! Would definitely pay to see them again! He punished that guitar!"
"Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his band rocked the blues. What great musicians. His closing act of Jimmy Hendrix's 'Voodoo Child' was awesome."

Awesome concert! One of the most underrated performers. Kenny Wayne Shepard is great live
Folks if you like rock and blues, Kenny Wayne Sheppard is your man! He came out rocking and continued throughout the entire show. He’s a blues player at heart and it shows. Amazing show at the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach.
A true great evening with one of the outstanding Blues/Rock bands touring today! You won't be disappointed if you you are a fan of great music fronted by one of the best guitarist out there today. KWS not only brings it ......... he shreds it!! ps; The rest of the band is truly outstanding as well.
This was an awesome concert as always. KWS is amazing on the guitar and Neil is great on vocals. This is the 3rd time seeing KWS, the first being about 25 years ago at Music Midtown in Atlanta. They always put on an amazing concert. We look forward to seeing them again next year.
KWS"s guitar playing was spot on. He is on smooth dog. He looked so comfortable and in his element. The drummer, bassist, and singer also great. The addition of trumpet, sax, and pianist/organist added much flavor. Awesome show.
KWS always puts on an amazing show. Not many can do it like he does! This was my first concert at this venue and the sounds was unmatched. I recorded a few clips and when I watch them back I can’t believe how great the sound quality is. Sounds like they were recorded in a studio. I hope more great artists come through here.
Highly recommend this show! One of the best shows I've ever been to. The row 6 seats were amazing. Hope to see KWS Band again in Daytona Beach.
Concert was great. I believe you could have a better discription of the theater layout. Perhaps include the size of the theater room?
Great show in a beautiful, historic venue that has great acoustics. The staff was friendly and helpful. Drink prices weren't crazy and the overall experience was excellent!
