KILLSWITCH ENGAGE IN CONCERT:

Metalcore band Killswitch Engage have made a name for themselves with their heart-stopping combination of sophistication and brutality. At their live shows, the band lays out a riff-heavy onslaught of guitars combined with dynamic vocals that range from bloodcurdling shrieks to low-pitch death growls as they pummel through tracks like "My Curse" and "Holy Diver." In the middle of all this unrelenting intensity is band frontman Jesse Leach, oozing a degree of snarling ferocity that is sure to please metal-heads and hardcore kids alike at the band's 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Westfield, MA metalcore pioneers Killswitch Engage were born in 1999 out of the figurative ashes of other hardcore bands and the literal ashes of Massachusetts' post-industrial Pioneer Valley. Their 2000 self-titled debut album on indie metal label Ferret immediately resonated with fans and nabbed rave reviews, earning them a spot on tour with fellow metal act In Flames. With the 2004 release of third album The End of Heartache, the band truly reached new heights, landing on the Billboard 200 and earning a 2005 Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. Overall, the band has released six studio albums, selling over four million records in the US and becoming a touring staple on the international metal circuit.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"An awesome show!!! Sang along to every song! Jesse did a great job singing old and new songs!"

"The sound was amazing. Great bands all around. Killswitch was on a whole other level!"

"As a new fan of Killswitch Engage I wasn't totally up to date on all of their stuff...But even without knowing all of their songs I was really feeling their show. The best part of the event was the closing ...so emotional it was perfect!"

  • Kublai Khan TX

by Oshlock on 4/9/25Greensboro Complex - GreensboroRating: 4 out of 5

Yes, the headliner was Killswitch Engage, but I went to see Kublai Khan TX. While the production and performance were professional and quality, and there are elements of Killswitch and Fit for a King (I didn’t see the first band) that I enjoyed, I just don’t like Screamo, it all sounds too similar. Kublai Khan, however, they were better than I could’ve hoped, and the crowd seemed very much to agree! I find it strange that there are some great bands out now that don’t ever seem to get the opportunity to showcase their corner of the heavy metal/ hardcore music world. Kublai Kahn should be touring with Stray from the Path, Knocked Loose (they cameo on each other’s albums!), and Incendiary. Even better (if they were still together) would be the inclusion of Every Time I Die. How can we get lineups like that!?!

  • Incredible

by JetBlk on 4/9/25Greensboro Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

Killswitch does not disappoint. Wow, what an awesome show. I generally loved the lineup, and Killswitch shredded. Adam, of course, is always a hoot and so fun to watch. Stage presence is amazing, the songs they played were good choices (especially The end of heartache). All in all, amazing time.

  • Ight

by Zahariel on 4/7/25The Corbin Arena - CorbinRating: 4 out of 5

Good prices at venue. Fit For a King blew the lid off the place to get things started. Kublai Khan rattled everything else that wasn't bolted down loose. Great show.

  • An amazing night 25 years in the making!

by Sylissa Panda on 4/6/25The Corbin Arena - CorbinRating: 5 out of 5

I've waited to see Killswitch Engage since their first album, it was a childhood dream of mine to hear them live! They were everything and more to experience after all these years. I felt so energized by the music I could have ran through a cinderblock wall. Not to forget the openers Frozen Soul, Fit for a King, and Kublai Khan TX were also so incredible. I felt like the concert was all for me and I had so much fun!

  • Good music and good times

by B Steff on 4/6/25The Corbin Arena - CorbinRating: 4 out of 5

Ticketmaster makes it so easy. The Corbin arena is a great venue for concerts

  • Better than expected!

by Andrew on 4/4/25GLC Live at 20 Monroe - Grand RapidsRating: 5 out of 5

I was extremely skeptical about how they would have sounded with Jesse Singing Howard's songs. Even though they're voices are fairly different, JESSE KILLED IT! It sounded remarkable and the crowd was very involved! The chanting of the choruses along with interaction made a excellent experience!

  • Openers Outshine

by Leach on 4/1/25The Astro Theater - La VistaRating: 4 out of 5

Overall a great show and really fun time, but honestly the openers blew KSE off the stage, especially Kublai Khan TX.

  • Metalcore!!!!

I originally came to see Fit For A King And Kublai Khan but Frozen Soul KILLSWITCH freaking killed it too. Was an incredible show. The venue is great!!!

  • End of heartache

by $poon on 4/1/25The Astro Theater - La VistaRating: 5 out of 5

Seen one of my favorites for the first time and they were impressive. Love the skills and down to earth vibe that erupts with energy. Hope to see them again soon

  • Hair on Fire Metal Show!

by Tom on 4/1/25The Astro Theater - La VistaRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome Energy, Crowd, Surfin, Circlin, Next Level Metal! Thanx to ALL the bands!!!! The 3 openers charged the air with pure lightning!

  • Great line up!

by Shai on 4/1/25The Astro Theater - La VistaRating: 4 out of 5

All four were great, Frozen Soul, Fit for a King, Kublai Khan TX and Killswitch Engage! Good crowd for the most part. The venue staff is always great!

  • Everything is WAAAAY too expensive.

by Big O on 4/1/25Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 2 out of 5

Every band was amazing. The opening act lit the place up and every band that followed exceeded expectations. The venue was great. I love seeing shows there. ...I just wish everything didn't cost an absolute fortune. $20 for a beer? Are you serious? It takes a great show and makes it a struggle to even afford a few drinks. It ruins everything. People work too hard to spend that kinda money. You could cut you're prices in half and still make a fortune. It takes a great venue and turns it into a place I don't wanna go to. I find myself hooibg the bands will book at Riverfront or Limelight, so I can afford a couple beers🙄

  • Worth the money

    by N C on 4/1/25The Astro Theater - La VistaRating: 4 out of 5

Honestly I bought these tickets to see Kublai Khan. Frozen Soul, Fit For a King, and Kublai Khan all were great. They got the energy up early and did a great job of talking about all of the other acts. Killswitch came on and there was an immediate deflation. I'm not sure if they just expected everyone to know who they were/their songs but it was clear that was not the case. The style differences between the three first acts and Killswitch was just too much. It wasn't bad but it wasn't for me. But I greatly enjoyed Frozen Soul, Fit For a King, and Kublai Khan. Would definitely see them again

  • More metal than u could shake a stick at

by Cliff on 4/1/25The Astro Theater - La VistaRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show. AAA would do business with again. Fast shipping, good packaging. As described. My favorite metal band since 2005. KSE > Metal guitar Wizards. Pulsing pulverizing sick riffs. Extremely solid bassist and drummer laying down intricate pulverizing foundations to wich Jesse’s vocals weave upon as a chorus of heartfelt tug of war between scream and sing, all culminating in forward leaning flex of true metal talent and beauty of awesomeness. All three Texas openers were 🔥🔥🔥. Don’t mess with TX

  • Not really worth the money

by Bibs666 on 4/1/25The Astro Theater - La VistaRating: 3 out of 5

Kse was great as expected. The workers at the venue were nice and it was good to have people in control of the walkways. However, the drinks were outrageously expensive and the stage seemed way too small and had way too many lights going on that took away from the enjoyment of the music itself.

  • Amazing Concert

by JROD on 4/1/25Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

Best concert I have been to in years! Killswitch put on an incredible show. I was left floored and really enjoyed it.

  • Nailed their set!

    by RockGal22 on 3/31/25Vibrant Music Hall - WaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Killswitch Engage absolutely nailed their set! Good mix of older and newer music, great crowd engagement. Of the openers my favorite was Fit for a King- they have a new fan! Frozen Soul and Kublai Khan were not for me, but it seemed many in the pit live Kublai Khan.

  • Great Concert

    by A# on 3/31/25Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 4 out of 5

My friends and I had wonderful seats on the right side of the stage. The stage was only 25 feet from us, so we could see all of the band members faces clearly, and watch them shred. Attendance was middle of the road. About half the venues capacity. Sound was decent, I think it could have used more bass in the mix, but that is just my preference for a metal show. Over all though the show was good!

  • Killswitch Engage

by Heather on 3/31/25Vibrant Music Hall - WaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

Killswitch Engage put on a hell of a show at Vibrant Music Hall in Waukee Iowa. The pyrotechnics were awesome and the group had some good opening acts. A fun night.

  • Phenomenal

by TBrizzyRN on 3/30/25Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

The meet & greet experience was fantastic! The band members signed my daughter's shoes. The merch selection was great & included a limited edition signed color poster that was numbered (only 500 made). We had a blast all night! The venue was top notch & clean.
