About

Late night drive home is a 4-person indie rock band from El Paso, TX.
Consisting of lead singer Andre Portillo, guitarist Juan "Ockz" Vargas,
bassist Freddy Baca & drummer Brian Dolan, late night drive home is
on a mission to bring a new sound to the indie rock genre. Their
inspirations come from a wide range of rock bands including: Wallows,
The Strokes, Nirvana, Arctic Monkeys, Car Seat Headrest, and Twenty
One Pilots. Formed in 2019 by Andre and Juan, late night drive home
started as a 2 person project, with a concentration on lo-fi aesthetic
rock, they later transitioned to the indie rock genre in 2021 with
melodic guitar synth-like leads. Take a journey with this youthful, indie
band as they evolve their sound and find new ways of approaching the
indie rock genre.

I absolutely loved them. It was such an amazing experience. Absolutely rocked the house. Slayed everything. The openers, Deniz Love and Orion 224 were awesome. They know how to put on a show and get you absolutely hyped for LNDH. Hopefully I can go to another one of their concerts, maybe all three together again☝🏼

  • One of the most exciting experiences ever

by Day on 5/8/24The Bronze Peacock at House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Late night drive home was so engaging exciting, cool, and tight. The band all played excellently, there wasn’t one moment where I wasn’t dancing, or engaging. The members also signed merch so that’s another plus. Would totally see them again. The only complaint I have was that they didn’t play Best Friend but that’s biased.

Great show! Loved the band’s energy and, of course, loved the music! Would definitely see them in concert again.

  • Great Show

by Lazo on 8/22/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Good to see hometown band rock the plaza. The guys were great and energetic. Only downside was hosts/ushers really wanted to go home and kicked everyone out the second the show was over. Didn’t even give the crowd a chance to chant for an encore.

  • Great show

by Settled on 8/10/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show! My only complaint was benches mix had way more drums than anything else. Besides that, sounded great and both bands put on a great show. Late night absolutely killed it!

  • Great crowd work

These guys know what they’re doing and they’re just gonna get better. I was in a small venue at the masquerade and the whole show was involved and felt alive. I fell during one of the songs and the people around me helped so the fans also are super nice too! I’d see them again if they ever come back to GA for another tour! <33

  • Just keep getting better

This was my third time seeing LNDH. All three times I was impressed by their music performed live, which I feel is better than their already good recorded tracks. This last concert I was impressed by their continued evolution as performers. I can't wait to see them again!
