Wonderful first ballet experience

This was my third time seeing them with my husband and the fourth time for me. We always love them. But, this year was different. It seemed that the players were younger and while they were good it didn’t have the same rapport as in the past. It lacked some of the comedy that comes with age in an actor/dancer. For example, the dying swan…just did not have the impact as it did in the past. Also, a small thing, but there was no brochure handed out or playbill and it helped to read along with the names as the announcer spoke…but without it a lot was lost on the audience because you couldn’t understand what was being said. The dancers are amazing but they lacked the tenure of the past players and I don’t know if I would go back.
I saw this show 21 years ago in New York and enjoyed it immensely. And now I had the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent dancers and new compositions. And my favorite Swan losing its feathers is magnificent!
Love the Trocks...I treated a friend to night out. She was amazed by the technique the dancers displayed while enjoying the humor in the performance. For myself, it was so worth it to see them in person. I highly recommend everyone seeing the Trocks in person at least once in their life time.
With so few opportunities for men in ballet, other than lifting and spinning a ballerina (requiring size and strength to lift females) and leaping and jumping, this company provides men the chance to develop and showcase grace and en pointe work. The skills of these men are remarkable! Yes, there’s humor and many guffawing moments, but through it all, the tremendous ballet abilities shine through. Beautiful bourees across the stage; amazing amount of time en pointe, gorgeous leg positioning for arabesques; stamina and beautiful form in pique turns en pointe circling the stage. Incredible company of truly talented dancers! The male ballerinas in tutus, paired with another male in pas de deux portions, are every bit as graceful and skilled as their female counterparts in the standard ballet companies. All dance lovers should see this company!!
Had a great time at the Parker Playhouse for Les Ballets Trockadero De Monte Carlo. This is my 2nd time seeing them and just as funny as the 1st time. Entire theater is beautiful and never a bad seat in the house.
Yes, there were moments of laughter and fun, but the dancing was amazing. I was mesmerized. These dancers were so talented both technically and artistically. Loved the whole show!!!
I decided a while back that if I were ever forced to watch Swan Lake ever again as long as I live, it would only be with the Trockadero Ballet. I suspect I am not alone in that sentiment. This time, we got to see the dying swan. With a new program, we were once again and newly amazed at the athleticism and grace of the dancers. They kept the ham to a sandwich and not a Sunday dinner which I think is wise because their talent should not be minimized. Bravi.
These guys are professional dancers and do an incredible show. They are excellent dancer, comic, athletic, funny and bring our (women) behavior to the point. We enjoyed the show so much and laughed nonstop!
I love the Trockadero’s, I’ve seen them countless times and always love their performance and professionalism and entertainment. They are absolutely amazing.
