About

Local H, the iconic alt-rock duo known for their blistering live shows and unorthodox two-piece setup, are at the top of their game three decades after they first burst onto the music scene. Now, frontman Scott Lucas, who covers both guitar and bass (through an extra pick up in his guitar), and drummer Ryan Harding are gearing up to release their 9th studio album, LIFERS. Local H's first major release was 1995's Ham Fisted, but it was their 1996 follow up album As Good As Dead that positioned the band as one of the elites of 90s rock. The radio hit "Bound For The Floor" emerged as a generational anthem and remains a staple on playlists around the country today. Their widely praised 1998 concept album Pack Up the Cats solidified Local H as a leader in the genre, and the albums that followed reflected not only the band's definitive character, but also their relentless effort to give their audience as much of themselves as possible. The past five years have been some of the busiest of their career. They released their 8th studio album Hey, Killer, numerous EPs and live records, and a series of "Mix Tapes" featuring a surprising mix of cover songs. They've toured almost constantly, with hugely successful tours with the likes of Toadies and Helmet, including performances on Metallica's sold out stadium tour. 2020 will see the band on tour with fellow 90s alt-rock vets Social Asylum in the Spring, and their new album LIFERS will be out April 10 via AntiFragile Music.

  • Kicked ass

by Tanner on 2/19/25High Noon Saloon - MadisonRating: 5 out of 5

Incredibly fun show. The enthusiasm on stage was insane, and they put their all into every song. The frontman himself even ran the merch stand after. Local H never disappoints.

  • Excellent, more shows need to come here

    by Lifer89 on 9/24/24Mickey's Black Box - LititzRating: 5 out of 5

Great show, Local H were in top form, they really looked like they were having fun doing what they were doing. I didn't expect there would be two other bands before them, but Anthrophobia and Radkey were good too. Very nice, chill venue that's actually located pretty close to where I live. I rarely go to concerts since most of them are out of my way, so it would be awesome to have more bands come here. It may not be a huge venue, but it's got good acoustics and vibes. Maybe Ween would be willing to come here since it's not too far from New Hope? Wishful thinking, I know, haha. Anyway, kickass show, would recommend Mickey's Black Box to more patrons and acts.

  • Excellent Show!

by Greg W on 9/23/24Mickey's Black Box - LititzRating: 5 out of 5

I’m a big Local H fan, and this was my first time seeing them live. They put on an awesome show! The sound was great, the energy was amazing, and Scott and Ryan killed it. I can’t wait to see them again!

  • Great show! Opening acts as good as the Headliner!

These bands played with so much energy, even in our small local club here in Lititz. Had a great time with a good crowd and awesome music. I'm definitely a new fan of Anthrophobia and Radkey, and Local H blew me away. If you have a chance, go see these bands and support your local venues!!!

  • Local H is Amazing

by Tom D on 9/23/24Mickey's Black Box - LititzRating: 5 out of 5

Local H is amazing. Scott and Ryan rock out non-stop. Scott's banter with the crowd is always funny and his running the merch stand means you get to interact with him. I've been following Local H since 1997 and now my son is into them. Scott was awesome with him too. Thanks so much! Keep coming back and I will keep coming to see you.

  • Eh

by Dave on 11/29/22The Masquerade - Hell - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

The first half was great! After the intermission every song sounded the same and you couldn’t understand the words at all. I stayed to hear Bound to the Floor and they sounded nothing like the album. Bruh just play the hits like the album just came out! I left halfway through that song. Was very disappointed in the second half of the show.

  • See you in Hell!

As always.. Local H brought the 🔥🤘 Hell is my favorite of the Masquerade venues. Well compared to Heaven. Haven't seen a show in Purgatory.

  • See this band 7 times & they never disappoint

    by Paulie G on 11/29/22The Masquerade - Hell - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

They played for almost 3 hours. Songs from almost every album & the entire 4th album. Scott gives all on every performance & Ryan is the best, hardest hitting drummer in the business. Local H rocks and is the best touring band out there period.

  • Best band out there

by Gunno on 11/29/22The Masquerade - Hell - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Show was amazing! 2 sets of Local H rocking harder than ever. They put on the best live performances and did not disappoint.

  • Awesome show

Local H never disappoints and this was no exception! Venue was also very cool. We had a great time, and actually headed to Chicago the next day to see Local H again. I’ve seen them over 30 times now and never the same show twice. 👍🏻👍🏻
