  • Amazing Music + video games = Unforgettable Experience!

by DinoGuy on 9/18/24The Sylvee - MadisonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time attending Mad With Power, and I’m so glad I decided to go! This is a truly unique festival that specializes in showcasing newer, up and coming metal bands, and delivering epic music in a laid-back, inclusive environment. They also have dozens and dozens of arcade games, all set to free play, which truly enhance the experience; I’ve never been to another festival that provides this sort of entertainment, but I really appreciate it! The atmosphere is fun and friendly, and the bands are top-tier. I highly recommend this to anyone interested metal, video games, and nerdy pursuits, and I will definitely be back!

  • Excellent festival that keeps getting better

by Craig on 8/5/24The Sylvee - MadisonRating: 5 out of 5

A great mix of up and coming and established metal bands. Ty does an amazing job organizing and running everything. I appreciate the effort to bring in international bands to a city the size of Madison. Between sets, you can talk to the band members and play pinball or other arcade games. The meal break is a great idea and helps break up the long day without missing any performances. The festival overall is very inclusive and there seems to be an effort to have diversity in the makeup of the bands--I haven't seen so many female-fronted bands in the same place before! My only real complaint is that I wish the food sales in the patio area stayed open later, and that the patio fence size was a bit bigger.

First time at Mad with Power and was just blown away with everything. Everything was a vibe: the location, the people, the sets, and of course the music! The games and food (plus dinner break!) was awesome on top of the AMAZING music and bands!! Can't wait to come back next year!

  • Fantastic power metal show

Ty and Lords of the Trident are doing amazing work with keeping the scene alive. They have a knack for finding bands that would not have fallen on my normal radar, and give them a chance to shine. Festivals like this are needed and I’m excited to see one happen in my home town.

  • The nerdy metalhead’s dream concert

by Edema Ruh on 8/5/24The Sylvee - MadisonRating: 5 out of 5

We all had a great time, the video games were fun and a great way to kill time between bands. My son has been bragging since about his Duck Hunt prowess. The only issue is that the monitor for the Super Mario Bros machine is going bad, and the pipes on World Five are literally invisible. Also bring in more Mario games

This is far and away the best music festival I've ever attended. The venue did an amazing job, it was perfectly planned, and the music was stellar!

  • Best Fest bar none

    by Jake G on 8/22/23Rating: 5 out of 5

My brother and sister, who have been to countless festivals and shows said this was one of the best fests they’ve ever been too, the fact that there are dinner breaks, everything was on time, etc. As we were talking about it after the show all they kept saying was that the entire vibe, from when doors opened to us drinking with a new friend from Atlanta, was Fun. That was the only way they could describe it. Thank you for that.
