  • Parking and travel in and out were BAD!

by SP on 8/27/24Williams-Brice Stadium - ColumbiaRating: 3 out of 5

The stadium was AMAZING! The sound, video board, lighting, fireworks. All of it was so perfect! Williams Brice has been known for poor handling of traffic in and out of the area. I to go all home games and this was by far the WORST! We sat on a side street for 2 hours without barely moving. State Troopers handle parking and seemed "over it" This was bad and a poor reflection of our city. I'm pretty embarrassed as I invited so many from out of time to this historic match!

I have been a Carolina Football season ticket holder for many years, and seen many great games. The enthusiasm of the soccer fans at the MU/LFC game rivaled anything I have ever experience. The crown seamed to be pro-LFC, and the stadium actually shook when they scored their first goal. The sound of the cheers was deafening. I have only experienced that twice before in all my years of attending Carolina football. Holding the game on a Saturday night made the game extra special.

  • Wonderful Evening of Futbol

by Solkiss on 8/12/24Williams-Brice Stadium - ColumbiaRating: 5 out of 5

I have heard a lot of horror stories about parking and traffic flow, but I left Charleston at 5:45, parked on Bluff Road, and walked in as they were kicking off at 7:40. I got out easy too by leaving game ten minutes early. I will say this , I did talk to two police men helping with traffic that were completely unfamiliar with the area and the roads

  • Great experience!

Great to be in Williams-Brice to see this match with family! USC went all out for this! Truly a unique experience I did not want to miss and it lived up to the billing! Hope it happens again!

  • Great game! Terrible logistics

by Trebor on 8/11/24Williams-Brice Stadium - ColumbiaRating: 3 out of 5

The traffic was so bad getting in and out that, it seemed as if they had no idea how many people were coming. Very disappointed

  • Great match - Parking disaster

by Wojdog on 8/11/24Williams-Brice Stadium - ColumbiaRating: 3 out of 5

Before and during the match, the event was first rate. After the match, the exiting from the parking was a disaster. It took over two hours to exit the fairgrounds parking lot. There was a lack of police presence directing traffic and the exit routes were one lane and packed. If this is the strategy after South Carolina football games, I would never attend one.

  • Disappointed that only one of the teams showed up tomplay

by Disappointed on 8/8/24Williams-Brice Stadium - ColumbiaRating: 3 out of 5

Crowd was in good spirits . Pyrotechnics were fun. However I spent $400 to see only one team play football. 77,000+ fans deserved better.

  • Columbia Wasn’t Prepared

by Nelly on 8/8/24Williams-Brice Stadium - ColumbiaRating: 1 out of 5

First, The stadium and game itself was delightful. I would give the actual event 5 stars. However, you can’t detach the event from the location. Columbia was not prepared for the crowds. I don’t understand this since the city hosts larger crowds weekly in the fall for college football. We arrived downtown (literally right next to the stadium) 3 hours early only to sit in stand-still traffic for hours, and then be denied entrance into a parking lot that I had pre-purchased parking for. I had to find parking elsewhere- which costed me additional cash and all of this resulted in being 10 mins late and missing the kickoff and first Liverpool goal! After the game, we experienced a similar miserable experience trying to leave the city, sitting still for almost 2 hours before finally being able to inch our way out of downtown. If you attend an event here be warned that you need to give yourself WAY more time getting to and from parking. Even a warning would have been extremely helpful. Especially considering we had driven in from almost 4 hours away. Those difficulties left a stain on what should have been a great experience watching two Premier League teams on the pitch.

  • Great game, horrible traffic

    by Mike L on 8/8/24Williams-Brice Stadium - ColumbiaRating: 4 out of 5

Saw Man United v Liverpool, which was an entertaining game. Williams-Brice Stadium was a good venue. The pitch was in great condition and the stadium was easy to navigate. I was a little surprise to find bleacher seats in the lower levels, but no big deal as we stood the entire time. What was disappointing was the traffic. From the interstate to the field to an hour and we ended up parking a mile out because it was clear we would risk missing the opening if we didn't. But the traffic after the game was worse! We sat for nearly an hour, not moving, while a handful of police stood idly by not directing traffic, but just being present. When we did get moving, the traffic pylons continued even up the onramp onto the interstate and people were surprised and kept swerving to avoid them when everyone thought we were merging. In short, first class teams and stadium, but a city infrastructure that was lacking. Surprising for a SEC town. They ought to know what they're doing.

  • Traffic nightmare

    by Man U v Liverpool on 8/8/24Williams-Brice Stadium - ColumbiaRating: 3 out of 5

Getting into parking was poor. No clear signage. We left the game early but still sat in line for 2 solid hours. Shame on the stadium and the City for the poor planning. With so many visitors from out of state and country coming to this event it was total chaos. I will never attend an event there again!
