Interpretive jazz isn't for everyone. But Mary and her bands made it accessible to all. A special shout out to Patricia Brennan on vibraphone. A gifted and exciting artist everyone should experience.

Not exactly my cup of tea but I will say that these musicians were all very talented

  • Amazing, Breathtaking Modern Jazz!

Mary Halvorson occupies a unique, creative space in modern jazz that must be witnessed first hand! Her shows are always unique. This show at Jimmys combined a string quartet and a jazz quintet plus guitar to create a Tenet - her largest ensemble yet! If you have an opportunity to see Mary Halvorson in any formation do not delay!
