Brooklyn experimental rockers MGMT released their self-titled third album in 2013 while continuing to play headlining concert dates and festivals all over the world. Fans scooped up tickets to hear songs like "Kids," "Electric Feel," and "Congratulations." The band's singular style of psychedelic noise-pop, which integrates plenty of electronica elements, was forged beginning in 2002 by founders Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden when they were freshmen at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. Their debut album, Oracular Spectacular, was released in 2006, and MGMT started gaining fans with the help of their opening sets for trend-setting acts like Of Montreal, Radiohead, and Beck. By 2009, MGMT could count Paul McCartney among their growing stable of fans, and they landed a spot opening for the ex-Beatle at Boston's Fenway Park. On tour, the five-piece group has been known to augment the flower-power vibe of their music by projecting repeated colorful, kaleidoscopic images and other random visuals on a backdrop behind the stage.

Everything was great: performance, voice, seats, venue. Short lines. Played only hits. It was great!
Saw them in Chicago last year and finally closer to home this year. They always put on a great show with amazing songs. They’re also super nice people I’ll never forget meeting them after the show ended!
Was a good show. Sound quality was great from Warpaint and MGMT. Great seats on the balcony. Would definitely see again.
Good show they had a fantastic set but I feel the intensity was only brought on a few key songs. The rest of the show was like listening to an album. If they would have done the whole set like they did those few songs like kids and electric feel it would have blown me away. Venue was nice but had the typical $8.00 beers.
MGMT is one of the best concerts I have ever been to! I have wanted to see them live for many years, but never got the chance until now. My favorite song by MGMT is Electric Feel! So much nostalgia and one of my favorite songs of all time! I love their new album Little Dark Age as well! They played a mix of old and new tunes, which made the concert even better. Of course, they played Kids and Time to Pretend as well, which was great! Andrew and Ben were very entertaining and interacted with the fans very well. It was a great experience and I will definitely see them again in concert!
What a great show at the beautiful Masonic Auditorium. I was mainly there for the opening act, Warpaint, my favorite band, who were brilliant (although sadly, received without much audience enthusiasm). But MGMT put on a fantastic show, playing all their hits, and some very interesting unfamiliar music (unfamiliar to me anyway). Their show was elaborately designed and very professional, with arresting visuals, and a giant blow-up of the anxious clown from the cover of "Little Dark Age." All in all, a great night of music, at a beautiful, historic facility. (I was a little worried that my ticket was for the balcony, but it turns out the view from there is excellent; you don't feel very far from the stage).
One of the best shows I have seen in a while. Albeit the venue was packed, the performers did an excellent job of entertaining us and providing a one of a kind experience. If money wasn't an issue, I'd be heading to Pittsburgh to see them tomorrow as well.
They were amazing! I had a great time. They played a mixture of old and new stuff
Overall it was a great concert I feel like there’s just too many under age teenagers there with their parents
MGMT was amazing of course. Really good energy from the band and the audience.
Able to get through security quickly. The band sounded pretty good, light show was fun. Good times were had by most.
I attended Mott the Hoople, Elle King and MGMT, while MGMT was much better, I could not hear the singing, it was just a jumble. Elle King was extremely loud and also unable to decipher words. Mott the Hoople the same. I have sat in the lower mezzanine for all 3 shows and am wondering if this is constantly going to be the case. Unfortunately, I have tix for 2 more shows at Masonic and due to these 3 instances, I am not looking forward to them.
I absolutely love MGMT but fully expected a sub par live experience. I couldn't have been more wrong. They opened with Alien Days and the sound was off...in fact it took me a minute to figure out what song it was. What ever issue they were having was quickly resolved and the rest of the concert was nothing short of magical. The set was a nice balance of new and old. It's been many years since I have gone to a concert, even a very good one, and felt the need to stand up and dance. I danced through the whole show. The music demanded it. This was one of the best concerts I have seen since the early 90s.
MGMT is amazing. Will see again. The Uptown Theater is a great venue too
We loved seeing MGMT. It was an awesome show and will definitely come to another if they ever come back to KC.
There a great band to see live. All they need is to reach back into there mid 2000's bag of tricks for another great hit.
Great show, the lights and visual effects are are amazing! Go get in front of some speakers!!
Audio quality was pretty bad. Mixing was off and feedback during several songs.
Good band bad sound. Disappointed w the Fox Theater
