Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium

U.S. Bank Stadium features a 60 percent transparent ETFE roof — the first of its kind on a sports facility in the United States — along with the world's largest glass doors, ranging from 75 to 95 feet high and nearly 200,000 square feet throughout the building.

Recognized as one of the top sporting and entertainment venues in the world, the 66,650-capacity U.S. Bank Stadium boasts the closest seats and suites in the NFL. Additionally, to announce the start of each home game, the Vikings sound a Gjallarhorn — a mythical Norse horn. All together, U.S. Bank Stadium has earned a reputation as one of the noisiest stadiums in the NFL.

  • informative

I am a 15 year ticket holder and have attended many events such as draft day, season ticket holder practice at Ep, training camp, women's days at the practice facility, tapings of Vikings tv shows and games. I really enjoyed the frankness of the speakers and also seeing their light side. I would definetely attend again.

  • It's great to be a Viking

by homerdog on 7/17/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

The Viking organization showed a true willingness to connect w the fans. I was a memorable event. I'm glad I was there!

  • Too much Ray Allen

by Phirstdown on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 2 out of 5

I like the idea of having something for the season ticket holders but this event could have been much better. It was completely dominated by Ray Allen. We were asked prior to the event to submit questions, If I remember right, one question from ticket holders was used. Ray Allen seemed to steer the entire evening around what he wanted to talk about. I think the rest of the "panel" did a good job.

  • Really unfortunate

by CommonFan on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 1 out of 5

I was pretty disappointed with the type of questions that were addressed at this event. This event was created for season ticket holders who are naturally the most devoted fans of the team. I would have had to be asleep for the last 6 months to not be aware of the basic information covered at this event. The best part of the whole event was the highlight film showed before the event started. In the future I think this event should be marketed differently because I was under the impression that I would gather some "inside" knowledge as to the "State of the Vikings".

  • Vikes Executives did great job!

by purpleblood on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

I thought they did a very good job, not boring like I thought it would be. They should do more things like this, maybe a mini one at training camp for the season ticket holders besides the tent they only do 2 days at training camp.

  • State of the Vikings hopefully the first of many !

by jplifestyles on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I would certainly hope that this becomes an annual event. People want to be close to the team if you only give them a chance. It really helps as the off season without football really drags and when July rolls around one gets anxious for training camp because you know the season is finally just around the corner and hope springs eternal once more.

  • It was a great time!

by IAVIKEGAL on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

I hope they have this again. It was fun and we also learned alot.

  • State Of The Vikings

by OtsegoDave on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

I was very pleased to be invited and involved. This would be a nice annual event. Paul Allen did a fine job hosting, but he should allow more time for the responses from the panel members. We did not attend to hear that much of Paul Allen. We attended to hear from the panel members. Thank you.

  • Question/answer session

by SuperSwede on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Was disappointed that they didn't take questions f rom the audiancne. I had been under the impression that this was the purpose of the session. But inspite of that it was an interesting evening.

  • State of the Vikings event was awesome

by PPOZeus on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

The "State of the Vikings" even for season-ticket holders was an amazing event. It was a fun time and made me feel like the Vikings really cared about me as a fan of the team. More events like this will go a long way towards keeping the season-ticket fanbase satisfied with the future of the team.

  • State of the Vikings - excellent

    by rand23 on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I very much enjoyed the State of the Vikings event. I thought it was an excellent idea for the season ticket holders. It was nice to have Speilman, Childress and Wilf. My only thought was that there could have been less "trying" to be funny. It is fine to be humoreous, but Paul Allen might have tried a little too hard. I would have liked a few more questions answered on issues that did not only involve getting the fans "fired up". For example - game day experiance. Thanks!

    by Chilly1 on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

It was great to see management up close and personal and hear it from the horses mouth

  • Very Nice

by Woodtick on 7/16/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I enjoyed the event very much. I thought it was very generous of the team to put the event on free of charge (parking too). I enjoyed PA's interviews of the team partcipants (best radio play-by-play, IMHO). I'm glad that they addressed the Favre situation and didn't avoid it. I wish that they would have addressed a few more fan-submitted questions as I think they only did two or three. I hope that this does become an annual event.

  • First time ever

by vikinggal on 7/15/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I was happy that the Vikings held this event and that season ticket holders were able to get together. It's a long time since the last season ended and it's good to have some football stuff to go to! Thanks and keep up the great job Vikes!!!!! Only wish there had been more time to ask questions.

  • They don't value us

    by 47states on 7/15/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 2 out of 5

The venue and parking were fine. But how come all news hits the internet or paper before they even think about informing season ticket holders. We should at least have some scoops in out ticketholder e-mails.

  • State of the Vikings

by mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm on 7/15/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

I had a great time and the event was very entertaining. I was disappointed that they didn't talk about the true "state of the Vikings". We are going to lose our stadium in a couple of years and they did not address what the plans are (if any) on keeping the Vikings in MN.

  • Loved it!

    by Bigdog63 on 7/15/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I thought that this was a fantastic event and I hope that it will become an annual happening. It was just another example of how lucky we are as Minnesota Vikings fans to have a great owner in Zygi Wilf. He continually puts the franchise and the best interests of the fans first. He is the best owner in the history of Minnesota sports! Keep up the great work!!

  • Where's the beef?

by TKPhi on 7/15/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

I am a first-year season ticket holder. I expected more detail. So, what is being done about that terrible 2-minute offense? Several questions were ignored. Still, it was a new experience & so it was fun. Just the right length for the fluffy content.

  • Glorified Pep Rally

by SkolVikings on 7/15/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

This event felt like a glorified pep rally. Fun at first but it got pretty boring in the end. Paul Allen was entertaining at least.

  • PRE-PRESEASON

by MikeViking on 7/15/09State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I liked the PRE- PRESEASON get together. I'd go again. It was fun to watch the highlights on the screen. I hope the team does more of these in the future! I went to a MinnesotaMomentum meeting too for the stadium! Could use some more of those groundswell meetings Mike
