NEON TREES IN CONCERT:

If Neon Trees' kaleidoscopic image is a perfect fit for their name, the band's sound is an even more fitting realization of their moniker, all punchy drums and prismatic synth lines.  Ever since being tapped by the Killers as openers on their2008 tour, the Trees have been an impressive live presence, delivering adrenalin-filled shows full of dance-ready songs like "Animal" and "1983." Frontman Tyler Glenn floored fans with his showmanship and intensity on the band's 2013 tour dates, and with a new album due out in 2014, he'll be bringing it harder than ever on the Pop Psychology Tour 2014.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Initially formed in California by singer Tyler Glenn and guitarist Chris Allen, Neon Trees soon moved to Provo, immersing themselves in the Utah Music scene and making a name for themselves in the region. After touring with the Killers in 2008, the band signed to Mercury Records and released their 2010 debut full-length Habits, an impressive first effort that spawned several singles and earned the band their first No. 1 with "Animal." 2012 follow-up Picture Show was an even bigger success, leading to tour dates with a slew of big name acts including the Offspring, Maroon 5, and Taylor Swift. With their third album Pop Psychology due out in 2014, the band are on the road once again for another high-octane tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Neon Trees' performance is always so energetic and interesting, it really does make the experience unforgettable. Tyler Glen is a performance genius and his voice is like butter."

"The lead singer is a fantastic performer. His dancing is contagious and makes me happy. They vary the songs, so they are not exact repeats of the CD version, and they go all out every night they perform."

"Neon trees put on an absolutely great show! The lead singer has ridiculously awesome stage presence and his energy is infectious. I would definitely see them again. "

  • Huge Fan!

by NeonManda on 3/31/25Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - NashvilleRating: 4 out of 5

I am a huge fan of Neon Trees! Always have been. Have been going to their concerts for years! This was a great concert. The only negative I have about it was I felt the stage was so dark. Very hard to see Tyler and the band. I’m not sure it this was intentional or not. If not the lighting team needs improvement. If it was intentional, the one thing I love about seeing Neon Trees is the, highly entergetic, bright colored and fun pattern outfits that used to be worn. The feel good, real music. There were times that the light was nonexistent on the stage and they weren’t even seen. Still loved seeing them and would go again in a heartbeat. Tyler sounded great! Love Elaine! Overall good concert

  • Incredible!!

by Hendy on 3/31/25Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Neon trees were incredible! I was scared that nostalgia would have made them better than they really were but they were amazing live!! 10/10 would recommend

  • One of the best times of my life

    by Ethan N. on 3/30/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Neon Trees have been a longtime favorite band of mine and getting to see them live at Brooklyn Bowl was a memory I'll not forget. They put on an amazing show, sounded even better than their records, and interacted with the crowd well!

  • Didn't sound great

by Mel on 6/25/24Rating: 2 out of 5

They don't sound like they do on their recorded albums. Maybe it was the venue, but they just didn't sound great. Good setlist picks though

  • Could Not Hear The Singer

by Birdseed on 4/27/24XL Live - HarrisburgRating: 3 out of 5

Could have been a really great show. However, no one could hear the lead singer. The first two openers sounded fine. I'm not sure what happened when Neon Trees went on. You could barely hear him when he sang and absolutely could not hear him when he spoke to the crowd. I'm don't know if this was an XL Live issue or and issue with the band. Bummer.

  • Go if you like to be spat on

by Lyasya on 4/27/24XL Live - HarrisburgRating: 2 out of 5

2 stars because opening bands were great. Neon Trees frontman/singer was in a bad mood and actually spat on the front row of fans. He also complained constantly about crowd's lack of participation. Disappointing. We left after spitting began.

  • Amazing!!

by Kate on 4/27/24XL Live - HarrisburgRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome, amazing, love this band!! Crowd was pretty tame, and there was drama happening among the girls standing around me, but I didn’t let that stop me from letting loose and having the time of my life!! 💛
