New York Giants History
A cornerstone franchise of the National Football League, the New York Giants began play in 1925. Legally, the Giants are named “The New York Football Giants,” which distinguished them from the “New York Giants” baseball team that called New York their home until 1975, before moving to San Francisco.
As one of the most awarded franchises in history, the Giants have won eight league championships — including a victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, their second in five seasons. The Giants (also known as the G-Men, the Jints and the Big Blue Wrecking Crew) are the only franchise in the NFL with a Super Bowl victory in each of the last four decades.

New York Giants at MetLife Stadium
The Giants are an institution with a storied history, and loyal fans can remember games at Yankees Stadium in the Bronx, Shea Stadium in Queens, the Yale Bowl, and Giants Stadium. MetLife Stadium, which became the Giants’ home stadium starting in 2010, is housed at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and is also home to the New York Jets, making it one of only two stadiums shared by two NFL teams.
The stadium cost approximately $1.6 billion to construct, which at the time made it the most expensive stadiums to be built in the U.S. With a capacity of 82,500, MetLife Stadium is one of the largest stadiums in the NFL. The stadium has hosted such major sporting events as the first outdoor, cold-weather Super Bowl XLVIII, Copa America Centenario Final, and the 2021 Army-Navy Game. It will also serve as a site for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Giants’ biggest rivals are the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, and Philadelphia Eagles.
The New York Giants have reached the Super Bowl five times (1987, 1991, 2001, 2008, and 2012), winning all games except for one — Super Bowl XXXV in 2001, when they lost 34-7 to the Baltimore Ravens.

If your a huge giant fan it was Christmas thanksgiving and new years all rolled into 1 night . So many legends and stars in one night and on one stage it was amazing . An incredible night for a incredible organization and the best fans in the world
Great historical analysis of the 100-year-old organization.
Excellent presentation I was so glad to be there to experience this anniversary of the franchise. The highlight of the night was when the WW2 Vet Giant fan came out to also celebrate his 100 birthday.
i was unable to get to the event. the northeast corridor trains were not running
Enjoyed the camaraderie between the players who developed lifelong relationships with one another during their playing days.
I thought the stories and interactions between the players were great, I was worried LT might do something crazy. Brandon London did a great job raving up the audience before, but I feel there should have been some contests for the fans and even some players interaction between us.
All the Giant Greats. No filters. Just great stories and memories.
The Giants put on a great evening. So happy we went.
I thought it was a great event Bob Papa did a great job as emcee aided by Shaun OHara The format was excellent and the coaches and players were very relaxed and spontaneous Particularly enjoyed Phil Simms Eli Manning Michael Strahan and Laurence Taylor A great celebration of a great franchise
This was the single best pre-season event held by the Giants. The outstanding array of true Giants heroes was amazing. Having been rooting for the Giants, in person, starting at the Polo Grounds, this was really a treat for me. My father was a season ticket holder since the 1950s and I have continued the tradition. I was accompanied on Thursday evening by my daughter, who was my “Giants buddy” beginning in the 1980s, and my grandson, who attends every home game he can get to. Three generations of Giants fans. Everything went well at the theater. We had convenient parking and we were able to get to The Garden in time to see the Super Bowl trophies and the memorabilia. The highlight, of course, was seeing the coaches and players from the five Super Bowls. With Bill Parcells and Tom Coughlin sitting together, along with Phil Simms and Eli Manning, and hearing the stories from champion players like LT, Harry Carson, Michael Strahan, Mark Bavoro and Phil McConkey was great and seeing the surprise heroes like Tiki Barber and Jason Sehorn was a real treat. Also, having Ronnie Barnes stand up and getting a standing ovation from everyone was a really nice touch. In short this was a truly memorable evening.
Exceeded expectations. Interviews great. Player banter/teasing hilarious. Shoukd do this more than once every hundred years. How about some opening game tix maybe?
It was an amazing event; nice to see past & present players & coaching staff. Brandon did a great job interacting with the audience. $16 for a can of beer was outrageous, but I look forward to seeing another NY Giants event in the future.
The NY Football Giants put a great night together for the fans to celebrate 100 seasons. The venue was fitting and beautifully decorated! The lineup was amazing and the stories were off the charts. For someone my age(53) it was perfect we remember the stories from before and recall all Super Bowl wins. Great job vbib papa
I had to miss the event thanks to NJ Transit and the heat. Wish I could go back in time
Words cannot describe how amazing it was to have so many generations of legends all on the same stage! Made me feel proud to be a Giants fan!
There’s nothing not to like. All seats are great unless some drinks too much and gets Rowdy…….
Nice location and easy to reach via subway. Nice game but as an European you have to fill a form to get beer. (I am 27 btw). Additionally I have to fill the form whenever I went to a different guy at the venue. As an European this is utterly ridiculously. If you don’t have a passport you don’t get any beer at all. (13$ for 500 ml just that you know) Food is good. People are nice. Overall okay but cmon just be more thoughtful about your European nfl fans!
My husband and I had an amazing experience getting a chance to see his favorite team (LA RAMS) play and win the game.
It was great to see my favorite team Green Bay playing a local team. The seats were kinda tight but comfortable enough to watch the game. First time there was good and I would go again.
