New York Jets History
Beginning play at the Polo Ground in 1960 as The Titans of New York, the franchise changed their name to the Jets in 1963 before adopting Shea Stadium as their home in 1964. In 1968, the Jets became the first AFL representative to defeat the NFL in the Super Bowl as the team beat the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III, an improbable victory that was made possible in part by their quarterback, "Broadway" Joe Namath.
The Jets made a return to the playoffs in the ’80s, and in 1982 made an appearance in the AFC Championship game. Between 2001 and 2010, the Jets made the playoffs six times.

New York Jets at MetLife Stadium
The Jets play their home games at MetLife Stadium, an open-air, multi-purpose stadium located at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey. MetLife is also home to the New York Giants, which makes it one of only two stadiums to be shared by two NFL teams.
MetLife Stadium opened in 2010 and upon its construction, which cost $1.6 billion, was the most expensive stadiums to be built in the U.S. MetLife Stadium has a capacity of 82,500 and has hosted such events as Super Bowl XLVII, Copa America Centenario Final, and the 2021 Army-Navy Game. MetLife will also be one of the sites for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Jets’ biggest rivals are the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, and Buffalo Bills.
The New York Jets have reached the Super Bowl championship once, beating the Colts 16-7 in Super Bowl III in 1969 — the first championship game for which the NFL officially coined the "Super Bowl" name.

Win or lose the experience is like no other Can't explain the energy out there in the stadium. Even walking to your seats you literally feel like your in the game yourself
Left early, but not early enough. The parking lot we were in was about a half mile away from the stadium. The Jets blew a momentum shift at the end of the first half. But the food was good and the service reasonably quick.
Metlife Stadium good times and professional people who work at the event. Thanks for the great hospitality!
Met Life Stadium is very, very Unfriendly to stadium visitors!! 1st place there are No Seats in any of the food establishments, horrible!! 2nd place the Tequila Bar has no Food!! Patrons have to bring food into the bar with No Seats to Dine!! Archaic!!!, to say the Least!!
First time to MetLife stadium first time seein the New York Jets in person and we make history by beating the Eagles for the first time in history. Can’t wait to go back.
I’m an Eagles fan and my boyfriend is a Jets fan and I got the the tickets because he was never at the new stadium before. I was happy to see him smile when they won. We had a really good time.
I am a tourist and I decided to stay in a hotel near the stadium, but to be able to return there is no bridge to cross, there are no paths for pedestrians, cars always have priority, that hindered our return, where it took us more than 2 hours to Being able to order an Uber that exceeds the costs, exaggerated.
My experience was great at met life, my family and friends enjoyed it.
Great Game, great food and great fans!! Loved every second
It was a very nice evening, I had goosebumps. it was impressive.
Really satisfied about having gone to this event. Spectacular Stadium, an immense crowd with fans from both teams sitting together, and an epic match, that ended with an incredible play...
Exciting game, but why does it have to take three hours to get home to Manhattan? The transport and logistics are a joke.
I have been going to the Old Giants Statdium and Met life forever. It seems to me that the parking situation has gotten way worse over the years. They have all the roads going in one direction on the way out and it takes hours to get out of the Stadium. They also had only a few exists open which creates mayhem. Please..open more exits so people can leave the stadium. It is a real deterrant. Also, having to buy a parking pass makes last minute game purchases impossible. Paying for parking at the gate makes more sense! The price of parking is out of control. I paid $84 for a parking pass. $40 at the gate and be done with it! On the bright side: the music, the wrist bands, the fire works, and the social media hype was all fantastic!
Everything was great !! Only two complaints one the tickets were hard to get when on line!! I guess the storm was the issue? Should have great internet service by the ticket scanners !!! But they don’t. And then there are 3 jet men?? Two look so stupid leave just the fireman the true one the others I had to tell my kids there copy cats and must have issues don’t show them on the screen they make our team look like low end!!
Overall a fantastic experience. Loved the stadium facilities, the staff, the entertainment and the game.
Metlife is modern, sleek stadium. Went to two games last year, easy access to 95 and the city. Can't wait to return for Rodgers. GO JETS!
I love this team but this is the worst stadium ever. This team is awful and everyone hypes them up, and they fail every year. Disappointed
The weather was horrible raining and cold but that December football the Jet fans were great friendly and fun, definitely come back soon to Metlife the vitrual seating was awesome and hope to return sometime soon go Niners
Always have a great experience taking in any event at the MetLife..This event was up there as well..Unfortunately my team lost and it was a wet ride home..lol. Other than that, I'm a happy customer with Ticketmaster 👍🏼
