About

Born somewhere in the Arizona desert, Puscifer is an electro-rock band, multimedia experience, traveling circus, and alien abduction survivors. The group's catalog consists of four full-length studio albums: "V" is for Vagina [2007], Conditions of My Parole [2011], Money Shot [2015], and Existential Reckoning (2020) - in addition to a series of EPs and remixes. Beyond the core trio of Maynard James Keenan [vocals], Mat Mitchell [guitar, production], and Carina Round [vocals, songwriting], the group's ever-evolving ecosystem encompasses Greg Edwards (bass, guitar, keys), Gunnar Olsen (drums), as well as a cast of characters such as Billy D and his wife Hildy Berger, Major Douche, Special Agent Dick Merkin, and many more. Meanwhile, the moniker's origins can be traced to a 1995 episode of the HBO classic Mr. Show where Keenan first used the name "Puscifer." In addition to tallying tens of millions of streams and views, they've piqued the curiosity of the press. Entertainment Weekly christened them, "Exceptionally groovy," and Revolver fittingly described them as "indescribable." Renowned for an immersive live show, the group's performances blur the lines between concert and theater, traversing the dusty American Southwest with Billy D and Hildy or the sweaty squared circle with Luchadores. They've brought their unique live experience to life  everywhere from Coachella to Bonnaroo. On their 2020 debut for Alchemy Recordings/Puscifer Entertainment/BMG entitled Existential Reckoning, Puscifer track Billy D back to the desert and, just maybe, uncover the truth about aliens once and for all.

Previously, Puscifer has sold out venues to capacity, like Warner Theatre and Old National Centre.

  • Incredible show in SLC SESSENTA!

by JR on 4/29/24Rating: 5 out of 5

This show had so much energy, was so well choreographed with 3 bands on stage at once was very impressive to continue to capture each bands true sound. A Perfect Circle was amazing, Billy Howerdel was incredible, Puscifer was incredible, loved listening to Carina Round and watching her energy on stage, and Primus just completed everything! Maynard played every part incredibly, his voice was immaculate, I loved watching his transition from Puscifer and APC, after listening to both of them for so many years and having such a high expectation, he just blew my expectations away and more! Simply put, each band was superb. Incredibly grateful that I got to watch with such great seats! Excited to see more shows in the future! Rock ON!

  • Theatrical experience!

    by Jeromiah-Spot on 7/11/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Puscifer was more than just an auditory event, it was an experience for all 5 senses! (Beer providing the taste buds feast) So much energy and production clearly went into this performance. Felt like I was watching movie instead of a concert. And Maynard was vintage Maynard!

  • Good time

Puscifer is always a good time. Great audience interaction & great music. You get to enjoy some of Maynard’s sense of humor.

  • Very entertaining!

by FreddyTheFish on 6/7/23The Wind Creek Event Center - BethlehemRating: 5 out of 5

If you think you know Maynard after seeing Tool think twice. Running around the stage, interacting with band members and audience members alike and keeping the antics going all night long, Maynard is a totally different person than what you may be used to. The show was funny and presented in a lighthearted manner featuring secret agents, aliens, and a whole lot of spam if anyone is caught recording the show. None of this detracts from the profound lyrics of some of his songs though and certainly not from the humorous lyrics of the others. Highly recommended!!

  • Maynard Like You’ve Never Seen Him Before

    by Rob C on 6/6/23Kodak Center - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

Just an incredible show from a band that is at the height of their powers. Truly, the songs sound better live than they do one the album - Existential Reckoning is awesome, by the way. The show is so well put together, it’s equal parts humour, social commentary and satire, sarcasm and end times. Maynard is a true legend, still creating, still elevating and innovating after three decades. One of my all time favourite shows.

  • Great Show

The venue was small and personal. It give me the experience of being immersed in the show. The show was theatrical high energy with the music being on point. I loved it and wished I would have seen the prior shows in the area

  • Not just a concert. It's an experience.

by K. H. on 6/6/23Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

This band puts on such a great production/show! Not only is the music awesome, but so are the visuals and there's even some humor thrown in the mix. We did the VIP experience and it was well worth it. This a great venue and provides an intimate concert experience. Highly recommend!!

  • Too short

by Jess on 6/6/23The Wind Creek Event Center - BethlehemRating: 4 out of 5

I loved it but I could barely see. The tall people always have to go to the front

  • Infectiously intriguing,,,,,

by Brotherpaul26 on 6/6/23The Wind Creek Event Center - BethlehemRating: 4 out of 5

Being a long time Tool and Perfect circle fan. Hence a MJK, and music fan in general. I had only recently learned of Puscifer and had initially felt their synth-strong sound to be like taking medicine. However as I hear more and allow myself to continue to appreciate the performance art, lyrics and infectious beats, especially at the LIVE show, I am happy to have my eagerness to listen grow. What a popping venue with almost terrific sound. IMO a little 'over-managed' re: security etc. Good music, good friends, good venue, good host, good parking, good message from the performers, GOOD GOOD GOOD,, LOL The entire experience was 'Double Thumbs up' for me. I will gladly go back to both Wind-creek AND Puscifer. jft.
