About

Cirque du Soleil invites you to Zarkana, a beautifully bizarre journey premiering exclusively at Radio City Music Hall. This epic spectacle takes audiences into a fantastical and suspenseful world where highly-acrobatic feats are heightened by original live music and interactive multimedia elements. Zarkana transforms the grandest stage in the world into a world of unreality as only Cirque du Soleil could imagine.
Directed by the internationally acclaimed François Girard (The Red Violin, Silk), this new production features 71 international artists and follows Zark, a magician on a quest to find his lost powers. He finds himself plunged into a world inhabited by surreal and mesmerizing creatures. The music of Zarkana is composed by Nick Littlemore, a protégé of Sir Elton John.

  • Great Show

by KingsOnlyQueen on 11/4/11Radio City Music Hall - NYCRating: 4 out of 5

I've been to another Cirque du Soleil (Mysterie) and had to see this one in my hometown of NY. I wasn't dispointed, it was different than the perfection in Mysterie, but still a great show. I went with the family and my preschooler, the theme was a bit dark for small chiildren, but not too frightening. Still recommended, Cirque du Soleil doesn't disappoint.

Zarkana was just incredible! I was at the edge of my seat, with my jaw dropped and a smile on my face that I just couldn't get rid of. The colors, the stage and all the props were just amazing. Every single part of the show was spectacular! There was nothing I didn't like. Even my boyfriend loveddd it! We couldn't stop talking about it days later. There were so many different things; people flying in the air, cool acts, all different type of acrobatics! Was like a circus but fancy and a thousand times better! It's a definite must go see show and worth every penny and second! =)

  • Journey to a land of wonder

by Temenos on 9/26/11Radio City - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The clowns were so funny and lovable, I wanted to take them home with me. Everything worked together to create a fantastic journey to an enchanted land. The show offers scores of talented acrobats, dancers and performers, plus lavish costumes and settings. The music was dreamy. The only thing that could be improved upon was explaining the tragic moment of his wife's death. Ushers at the theater were very nice.

  • Great Show to See but what are they singing?

by ChunLi on 9/22/11Radio City Music Hall - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

The show is amazing for the eyes but it took me about 40 minutes to realize that they were singing in english. I wish they could find a way to make the singers sound clearer so the audience could enjoy the music as well. We did see a few mishaps but even those were exciting.

  • Spectacular, but short

by Schreckjo on 9/19/11Radio City Music Hall - NYCRating: 3 out of 5

Cirque has done many amazing things, but as always, some are better than others. This show was entertaining, big and beautiful. I did think that they focused more on the New York aspect (live singing, big acts) and less on fitting in enough acts to make the show full. If there was anything the show was lacking, it was the amount of stunts performed. I enjoyed it, but thought at the end that I wanted to see at least 3 more acts.
