Born in Spain in 1943, Raphael began singing at just three years old, winning a Europe-wide singing competition at age nine. Early on in his career, he gained notoriety for acting out the lyrics to his songs on stage, making highly dramatic gestures, wearing colorful folk costumes, and incorporating the physical language of flamenco and bullfighting in his performances. After representing Spain in the 1966 and 1967 Eurovision Song Contests, he became an international star, embarking on global tours and gaining a huge Latin American following with his rendition of folk standards like "Llorona" and "Sandunga." Over the course of his decade-spanning career, Raphael has become recognized as one of the most influential Latin artists of the 20th century, earning him a revered place in the hearts and minds of audiences around the world.

This was a wonderful weekend that I shared with my wife. Growing up we both loved Raphael but never saw him live. We are so fortunate to have been able to hear him perform, we drove from Florida and The Duke Energy Center is a great venue very organized.
He is an amazing singer but this time he show up hoarsed and was unable to perform his songs as we expected, however he is Just Raphael and I did not care , what I cared is he did his best and I appreciate it
Loved the event, however parking was complicated and waking through the building or getting information was a total nightmare! Non of the security or service personnel know anything!!!
Excellent Raphael always giving a great show and delivering his best vocal skills however I suggest hom to sing the songs completely without asking the public to sing parts of the songs since he is great singee also tell him to sing completely como yo te amo and leave another song to the end

Bought tickets with my sister as a shared birthday gift for our mother! She absolutely loved the weekend get away with her girls to see one of her favorite singers/performers! Guaranteed great time for everyone!!

Raphael is worldwide megastar. His career extends over 60 years. He is still fantastic. My only regret is I didn’t see him years ago. He us 79 years old. I hope I get to see him one more time. He is doing more shows in Spain this tour. I wish he would circle back to USA .
