  • Love Birchmere...Disappointed in show

    Show was only 1.5 hours. It was nice to feature each band member but that was 30+ minutes of Show. We were there to see and hear Ricky Skaggs. If he can't do a whole show anymore we should have gotten that information prior to buying tickets.

    Ricky and the band were great. the Birchmere is a fantastic venue. We have been many times and the food is always good. The servers are always very busy, but everyone helps out and their system works really well. The food always comes out hot and in a timely manner. So far everyone that we have been seated with has been really friendly and a joy to watch the show with. The venue is small and cozy. We like being close to the performers and being able to have a good meal . We don't drink alcohol, but I was told that the drinks are good also.

    We cannot get over how good this concert was! The musicians played with incredible ability and blending together. We want to come back every year! This was our third year in a row and now we don’t want to miss it. Thank you Ricky and the Bluegrass band!

    Ricky Skaggs is not only a legendary artist and performer but a man of God and a gentleman! He not only entertained us with his talent but also humbly showcased each and every one of the musicians of Kentucky Thunder, life is good!

    We went last year and knew we always wanted to see Mr Skaggs and his band The Kentucky Thunder if they ever came back and luckily for us they did with an AMAZING Christmas program!!! As long as they keep coming, we’ll keep going!!!

    It was a great show! I'm so glad we went. Had lots of help to find our seats. We sat around some fun people, & ran into several old friends. We had a wonderful evening, & would definitely buy tickets to a Ricky Skaggs bluegrass show!

    This was an awesome concert. Second year in a row I’ve seen this. He and his band are exceptional. Feels so comfortable listening to him and his members share their thoughts and experiences. God bless them. Can’t wait till next year.

    Ricky Skaggs never disappoints! Kentucky Thunder is such a talented group, and having that many talented players in one place makes for an amazing concert! Hope they come back next summer for some more bluegrass!
